I like to try and narrow down the ages of the really old characters, too. My beloved Nan revealed her age just seconds before she was staked. It's one of my favorite things about the show, contemplating characters who lived for hundreds or even thousands of years and what it must be to like to have experienced so much of the history of the world.
Good riddance to Steve, but I was hoping we'd finally be done with Sarah, too. This show is crazy and I love it so much. I can't believe there is only one episode left.
Yup she is Kendra the booking agent for ACN. I just love me some Lettie Mae. I am not surprised Sarah is still going to be around. Also that last moment with Pam, just too good...Also when she was dancing with her porky.
"I think lying to children is really important, it sets them off on the right track" -Sherie Rene Scott-
Anna really delivered the goods. Her exchange with Billith was very entertaining and the eulogy at Terry's funeral quite moving. But, the flashback of Terry and Sookies' initial encounter reminded viewers of how grating her accent was early on.
I agree that Tara has all but disappeared this season and Lettie Mae was trying to bring cray cray back. Grandma BelleFleur & Mama Fortenberry added some levity to an otherwise somber occasion. Not feelin' the Jason/Vampirella love connection.
What was up with Eric's disappearing act? Was that a possible setup for a spin-off? And Lilith doesn't seem like the type of lady who takes no for an answer.
Perhaps this season's finale will be deliver a huge cliffhanger instead of the penultimate episode.
I was hoping she'd get killed, too, because it seems like they're cleaning house.
I found last night to be a particularly gory/gruesome episode, from Sookie gnawing her arm open with her non-vampire teeth to that one doctor getting his junk totally ripped off.
I think Warlow's facade is starting to crack a little, with the "Are you feeling better?" "Why? Where are you going? Are you leaving me? What am I doing wrong? Why is this not working? You can't leave me!" My question is what will be his reaction when Sookie either decides to not go through with it or is stopped beforehand. Suicidal? Homicidal? Kamikaze?
I imagine they won't have time, but can we please see how Jason dreams of Eric? I need that, for reasons.
Loved Big John. Loved the "I love you... Jason Stackhouse." Loved the "I know that scream. Hello, Ginger."
One nitpick (as of now): When Bill was in the faerie land with Warlow, why not then just use his "As your maker..."?
I was obsessed with Arlene's "That was the sh!t" to Big John. AWESOME moment.
Very mixed reaction about this episode - major developments and, yet, it felt anticlimactic for me. The switching back and forth and extreme contrast between the facility and the funeral was so drastic that it took me out of the episode. To me, it never found its flow or momentum.
Is it wrong to admit that I skipped through every single Terry flashback? So over him.
I was really dismayed when I realized the whole show was going to be built around Terry flashbacks, but I do have to say that while I'd have preferred watching things that were actually moving the plot forward, I thought the flashbacks were pretty deftly handled. With what I've read about the new showrunner wanting to bring the show back to its roots or whatever next year, it was nice to see some quiet Bon Temps moments that felt like they could have indeed happened in the world of the show, even if they were all ultimately totally unnecessary.
Brian Buckner wrote it, and I can definitely see his "back to Season 1 basics" plan in what he wrote for this episode. I mean, that was classic Lala, in his flashback with Terry. Also, the Merlotte's waitresses at the counter waiting on food and talking. How often do we get that now?
