Posted: 1/1/07 at 9:39pmArrived in DC unventfully. The train is definitely the way to travel... 3 1/2 hours on the regional train. And they even have AC plugs for your laptop in Coach class. I'm gonna be crashing here soon.

I was joking and grabbing my belly and was instructed by my wife to "go on a diet!" So, tomorrow starts yet another diet. I want to drop 20 before my milestone birthday which comes in the Spring.

Do your kids have school tomorrow, Ms. P? I was vaguely listening on the radio as they mentioned some schools that were observing the National Day of Mourning tomorrow.
I'm with you, brdy. I won't begin correcting my eating habits until I get back to Seattle on Thursday.
As much fun as this trip has been and promises to be, I can't wait to get home to my bed.

Our kids do not return until Wed. which is just annoying.
They are wound up even though they were up late last night.

I took the 4:05, got to DC by 7:30. It worked out great... finally got to spend some time with Liotte.
Ms. P... your kids are awesome to be with. It's understandable! You remind me of my mom. She used to work in the school we went to, and then she worked at the university where my brother and I went. She was always around... it was great!
I'm pooped... off to bed.

Aww, thanks, DD. I am grateful every single day to have the kids I do.
I am off for the rest of the week! I am toying with the idea of stopping by the office tomorrow, but I think I will probably convince myself that going back on January 8 is soon enough!
