Our beautiful weather is ending today. We will likely not have 60 degree weather until late March or April.

Posted: 11/30/06 at 1:20amWe had the most severe Santa Ana winds through here this evening that I've experienced - up to 80 mph gusts. It was pretty apocolyptic there for a while - trees getting ripped out of the ground and everything. And now it is perfectly still. It's rather eerie - like the eye of a hurricane.

We've had unseasonably warm weather for the past week, but today was outrageous. The rain finally moved in, but instead of cooling it down it just made it unbearably muggy. Here it is about to be December, and it was worse today than any day in August that I can remember. The humidity seemed to chemically react with my hair gel, my deodorant, my soap, and my sweat to where I felt like I was entirely covered in goo by the time I got home from work.
Even after a cold shower with some Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap, I still feel ooky. At least my heating bill will be low...
And no one grew into anything new, we just became the worst of what we were."

That is one of the more incredible - and vivid - things I've read on this board 
And yes, brd, the winds certainly are blowing! I just hope it's not more hot air . . .
