although it showed promise in the beginning, i'm just about done with "six degrees" as it has just become tedious. also, i really tried to like "friday night lights" but will probably give up on it after this next episode.
i sampled "30 rock" and "twenty good years" but after two and one episode, respectively, i have no real desire to tune back in.
also, an old favorite, "desperate housewives" is a serious contender to be dumped. i was hoping it would rebound after an awful second season but i hate the new characters/new storylines and the direction they are going with the leads. bluck.

I've tried and dumped:
Vanished
The Class
Studio 60
Friday Night Lights
I still like "Housewives". Bree is my favorite although Lynette is on my last nerve.

Gave up on Megan Mullally after the first viewing.
Dumping Studio 60. It's just waaaaay too smug and self-important. There were a few great moments the other week between Christine Lahti and Sarah Paulson, but it's not enough to keep me interested. And not one of the "skits" were funny.
Not sure how long I'm going to stick with Brothers and Sisters either, which is a shame because I really liked it at first. After Uncle Saul read Nora the riot act when she condemned her husband's mistress, I nearly lost it. If that were my brother I'd have punched his lights out.
The only new show I'm loving is Ugly Betty.

Me too. I do like, The Class however.
I tried:
Six Degrees- which got very boring quickly.
Studio 60- It wants to be serious and dramatic, yet it comes off boring and annoying.
i dumped studio 60 after one episode.
Poor Lynette, she's been stuck in virtually the same story line since she started working again. The character looks dull in comparison to the other women, at least their drama is exciting. The preview of next week's episode where she kicks in the door looks like it could be promising though.
I'm not big on 30 Rock. I also wish Tina Fey would go back to SNL, she's needed badly there.

Funny how it was during her stint as head writer that the show started to suck again. Makes one wonder how much she had to do with it. In my opinion, the show is trying to find its foothold post-Fey. Seth Meyers was not a good pick for head writer, but at least with Horatio Sanz gone there is a CHANCE for humor again.
SNL needs Rachel Dratch more than it needs Tina Fey.

I hate that Kiersten women, she annoys me. She is so white trash and there was no reason to bring her onto the show. I did like how Mrs. Mclusky has taken Bree's spot in the group dicussion that was fanatastic.
I also enjoyed:
"Ma'ma, you're going to need to be quite, you're going to wake people."
"This is ridclious, this is a coma ward, Don't you want them to wake up!"
and Gabby's "pulling the trigger" with Phil.

I made through two and a half episodes of Six Degrees and could never get involved with any of the characters. I'm still sticking out Brothers and Sisters, mainly because I adore Rachel Griffiths. And 30 Rock was about as unfunny as a show could be.
I lasted through two viewing of Six Degrees and Studio 60 before hitting the remote. What is with Sorkin and dark, gloomy sets? Turn on a freaking lamp.

Housewives is awesom this season! I think it's better than the first. The best new show this year is "Brothers and Sisters". LOVE IT!!
I honestly haven't seen any of the new shows this season, but did I read somewhere that KIDNAPPED has already been cancelled?
Jesus, are there two actors in the business more heartbreakingly luckless than Timothy Hutton and Dana Delaney?

Kidnapped will be gone after 13 episodes.
Smith is gone.
Six Degrees is doomed. It's coming in last place, following Grey's Anatomy, the number 1 show on TV.
Somehow, E.R., which jumpeed the shark a couple of seasons ago, is making a comeback.
yeah, his name is Eric Balfour.
in 2003, 04, and 05 he was in 3 seperate series that got cancelled. One each year.
Although I suppose Dana does have him beat.
But Eric is near the top of the list of actors who just cant catch a break.
Oh and for me, 6 Degrees and the Class have been dropped from my weekly schedule. And I don't understand all this Studio 60 hate. Sure, the sketches on the show are kinda lame, but the show as a whole is great. I'd say its my favorite new show of the season. But the title of (atleast of all the new shows I'm watching) best new show of the season goes to Jericho. How they managed to take such a unusual and unappealing plot device (multiple, coordinated nuclear explosions in Major American cities) and made it so interesting and emotionally satisfying is down right miraculous. the writing really suprises me. Oh, and Skeet Ulrich holding a fire hose doesn't hurt.

Yeah, who'd'athunk John Stamos would have that affect.

i like "jericho" but i think it is funny how macgyver, i mean, skeet, manages to save the day in every single episode. that's gonna grow weary if they keep that up.
"desperate housewives" was a train wreck in season two, and this season the train not only left the tracks but went over a cliff and jumped about 1,000 sharks on its way down. the lynette storyline is the worst of the bunch and that's saying a great deal since i cannot stand any of the other storylines this season.
can anyone tell me why orson needed to kill mike if he wanted to marry bree? i'm lost. and they need to kill that character that plays tom's babymama. irritating, much?
i lasted thru about 8 minutes of "the class."
"studio 60" has regularly improved upon its pilot while "six degrees" blew its wad with the pilot and now should be shipped to the cw or any other network for moronic shows that show no promise.
i like brothers & sisters more and more - although i could do without uncle saul. he needs to die, too.
I like Brothers and Sisters and love Heroes.
Tried and didn't like:
the Class
Six Degrees
Studio 60
Twenty Good Years (sorry, John Lithgow...but I still love you)
I'm also liking B&S more and more. That boy kiss last night -- perfect! I don't like Uncle Saul much either but that's the only way to keep Patricia in the family circle.
I also think that she knows where the 12 mil is and that could make her story line very interesting with Sally.

which seems kinda pointless after the scene where sally outed her at the family dinner. i know she's ken olin's (the producer) wife, but still. she needs to get back to "prison break" and set things right in her role as POTUS on that show.
i like heroes, sorta, but only the hiro portion of the show. the mirror chick especially grates on me.

I agree that Six Degrees should be dumped. The show is not as interesting as its premise makes it out to be.
Studio 60 really doesn't speak to non-Hollywood types. It's not good as entertainment and there's no message to get out of it. Ugly Betty speaks better to the inner workings of white collar jobs and their politics but also adds a layer of warmth in her home/family life.
I keep missing Brothers and Sisters so I've only seen two episodes. But it seems like it could easily fall into the soap opera genre like Dallas.

SPOILER:
There appears to be a connection between Orson's dead wife and Mike. Last night, the police noticed a phone number on the body and when they dialed it, it was Mike's Plumbing.
I've seen most of the pilots for this season.
I gave up on Vanished halfway through the first episode.
Couldn't make it through the first episode of Friday Night Lights.
Watched the pilots of Runaway, Studio 60, The Nine, and 20 Good Years and didn't like any of them enough to come back the next week.
Gave up on Six Degrees after 2-3 episodes.
I was watching Justice because I would watch Victor Garber read the tax code, but then Lost came back, so I ditched that.
I like Brothers and Sisters, Heroes, Kidnapped, Ugly Betty. LOVE Ugly Betty.
i never watched ugly betty because i refuse to give up "earl" and "the office."
it's bad enough that i gave up "two and a half men" to watch "heroes" but i guess that's what relationship are about - compromise. compromise, and denial. compromise, denial, and bitter resentment. compromise, denial, bitter resentment, and exhaustion. yeah, that's what relationships are about.
(plus, i can download TAAHM!)
(First of all, what's with all the numbers in titles this season?)
6 Degrees - Couldn't hold my attention through the first episode
The 9 - I'm not bothering with it. Just doesn't seem interesting.
20 Good Years - Tired of it already... But Jane Leeves was great in her spot.
30 Rock - Not horrible, but not great. Alec Baldwin is very, very funny. Jane's talent is being wasted. Tina should stick to writing.
Brothers & Sisters - Couldn't hold my attention through the first episode.
Heroes - I was skeptical, but it's interesting. I just watched the marathon. I'll watch it tonight and then see how it goes.
Studio 60 - MY NEW FAVORITE SHOW! I really, really enjoy it. It's the only show on television right now that I MUST SEE. I can't understand why it isn't going over better.
Ugly Betty - It's not bad, but The Office is on at the same time, and that is SO GOOD. I watch U.B. online whenever I get a chance, but it's not as good as it's being hyped up to be. America Ferrera is a great actor, but I'd like to see her do something other than this.
Tried/dropped: Studio 60, Ugly Betty. And I'm quickly tiring of Lost this season.
Then again, I don't watch a great deal of tv, so it's pretty rare that a series holds my attention on a weekly basis.
The only things I have tried and dropped are Survivor and Biggest Loser. Survivor is just the same thing over and over again and Biggest Loser is boring. I just can't get into reality shows anymore.
The only other thing I have thought about dropping is Megan's show. But I watch it while I do other things and fast forward through any boring parts. Some of the stuff she does makes me laugh.
