Me too, Jerby. I still watch The Amazing Race, because Sunday night is usually my relax at home night anyway, but the rest bore me to tears now. And I really haven't gotten into any shows this season. I'm sure some are good, but I'm just never home to see them, and I don't have a DVR.
I tried and dropped 30 Rock, The Class and Ugly Betty (only because I refuse to give up Earl, The Office, and Survivor and my DVR can only record 2 things at once).
I'm loving Heroes and The Nine although I nearly dropped both after the second episode. Studio 60 is currently my favorite show on television. Chalk me up as another who cannot understand why everyone hates it so much.
Tried:
-The Class (dumped it after two)
-Studio 60 (dumped it after one)
-30 Rock (dumped after two)
-Twenty Good Years (dumped after one)
-The Nine (dumped after two - don't care about the characters enough to see what happened after the bank - while I want to know what happened in the bank, I don't care THAT much -- and what's the deal with all the shows with numbers in the title?)
-Jericho (dumped halfway through episode one)
The only new show I'm sticking with this year is Heroes - I LOVE it. DH is getting on my nerves. Still loving Lost, and I'm a new convert to Battlestar Galactica (BRILLIANT, GENIUS, FANTASTIC show that needs more attention!!!)

The Class is unwatchable. I gave it two episodes but grew tired of the same recycled jokes. None of the characters are really all that interesting.
Studio60 held my attention for the first 3 episodes, but I DVR'd it last week and still haven't watched it, which is a sign of how I feel. Like West Wing, there are too many characters and few that I care about.
I don't bother with Housewives anymore. Between Terri Hatcher's crying jags and Eva Longoria's need for attention, I lost interest. They killed that show by having it on every freakin maagzine cover and TV magazine show every week.
Kidnapped bored me.
The Standoff with Ron Livingston is horrible, mainly because he and his love interest have as much chemistry as a pile of logs. Plus, flirting while people are being held hostage? Is never fun to watch.
Brothers and Sisters I like, but they are dragging out storylines. Sally Field and Calista Flockhart don't get along. We get it. Watching them snipe every episode gives me an ulcer.
Justice I actually like and think people should give a try. It's on Foz Mondays at 9.
Speaking of 9, I don't care for The Nine. Too many people, none that I care about.
Law & Order blows this season since adding that atrocious female partner for Jesse L. Martin. What is with their casting department? The y can cast soem fo the best female supporting and day players, yet their female contract casts are all wooden, except for Epatha Merkson and Angie Harmon.

Kyle Maclachlan's character on DH seems to be the exact same person he played on Sex and the City (but without the sexual dysfunction). Don't casting directors have any imagination?
jasonf, wasn't battlestar galactica fraking kickass this week?
I swear folks should netflix the show and then look out for a current season marathon to catch up. best drama on tv. it's truly what the new star wars should have been in term of great writing, acting, story, and use of fx to tell a thrilling and engaging story set in the future. puts lucas to shame.
I'm gettting a little weary of Lost. I loved the first two seasons. This season though, they are introducing too many characters and I feel like they are making more story lines that have the possibility of never being answered. If they had of stuck to the main island people I would have been happy. Even bringing in the tail section characters was fine, but now they have a bunch of "new people" as The Others. I'll still watch but I'm not as excited to see it.
jrb_actor -- I'm behind two episodes - I saw the season premiere two hours, but have Exodus on DVR waiting so I can watch them together. Of course, the cliffhanger from the premiere is killing me -- though it kind of hurt the suspense of the Cylons firing at the crowd in terms of Roslin's survival - they showed her in previews for subsequent episodes.
Jerby is right though - it IS the best show on tv (well, maybe second behind Lost). The acting is incredible (Michael Hogan should get a nom. for supporting actor for the season premiere, I can't remember seeing an actor transform himself quite the way he did on a tv series), the writing actually IS better than Lost, and the production values are second to none.
I watched the entire first two seasons over the summer -- if the current crop of shows is not your thing, trust us, check out BG. Even if you don't like sci-fi all that much, at least try the mini-series. If you're not hooked, well, I don't know what frakking hope there is left for you.
Sorry, Clay is an idiot and forgot to sign in as himself.

I have given up hope of enjoying THE CLASS and 30 ROCK. The SIMPSONS has lost it for me too, I am afraid, though it has really been on life support for years.
I am new to THE OFFICE and EARL this season, but I love them. THE OFFICE makes me laugh out loud at times, which many of you know is not something I often do. I rarely give more than a soft chuckle to anything.
I am often hesitant to watch any Drama, because I feel the need to really "invest" in it if I am going to spend that much time on something. (That along with an aversion to constant murder and rape is why I can not watch CSI and no longer watch Law and Order.)
I really like HEROES and STUDIO 60 though. There have been definite moments where they almost lost me, but they pulled through. I also added VERONICA MARS to my original twosome of LOST and GILMORE GIRLS.
I often wait and watch several episodes at once, when I happen to have the time, instead of show by show, that really helps my enjoyment of these "long term" shows.
I'm still catching up on back episodes of Veronica Mars -- DVRing the season now - maybe by winter break I'll be caught up.
The Simpsons will NEVER go off my schedule - I've been watching the show for 18 years, I can't imagine NOT watching new episodes as long as they're being produced, even if some aren't as strong as others. When a show is up near it's 400th episode (I don't think it's QUITE past it yet) even if half of them are clunkers, the show STILL produced 200 great episodes - and the number of bad episodes (I mean REALLY bad Armin Tanzerian episodes) is WAY less than half.
The Office is very funny
My Name Is Earl -- I just don't get it most of the time.
I swear I don't watch that much tv -- I'm just very loyal to the shows I do watch. :)

ER has always been a favorite and I still love it this season! The Office is freaking hilarious too!
I didn't like Six Degrees or Studio 60... Ugly Betty is ok just not one of my favorites...
Yes, I will likely still watch the SIMPSONS, but the clunkers are coming far more frequently these days, and even the good episodes are no where near the heights they could have hit.
I get a lot of enjoyment from EARL out of knowing so many people that are exactly like they are, and there is a really META approach to the satire that speaks to me. It is never quite clear cut.
Add me to the list of people who are skeptical of Lost this season...I feel like now they are just doing tripy camera effects and not much else. It's my favorite though, so I'm hoping it'll pull through.
I don't know why everyone seems to think Lost is bad this year - I'm enjoying it as much as ever.
I am right with you Jason, this season has been excellent. I just keep liking the show more and more.
SNL needs Rachel Dratch more than it needs Tina Fey.
I totally agree. Rachel got gypped b/c she left SNL and now she has sucky random parts on 30 Rock and she's actually really funny.
I dumped Studio 60 after 2 for every other reason stated and because the timeslot sucks.
Ugly Betty is gettin gon my nerves, too.
"SNL needs Rachel Dratch more than it needs Tina Fey."
Amen. I've been loving The Class. I started tuning into The Office for its new season. That show is hilarious! It's nice to have a good comedy without a laugh track.
Luckily the only new shows I was really looking forward to were Studio 60 and Heroes. Heroes turned me off but I watched it again tonight.
I am still in love with Studio 60.
I thought the Megan Mullally show would be okay. It wasn't.
I stopped watching new Simpsons last year, and I don't miss it. The only shows I make a point of catching on Sundays are Family Guy and American Dad. The Simpsons really needs to be put put of its misery.
I got about 10n minutes into 30 Rock before I realized, "I haven't laughed once. Bye-bye."
And The Office is still going strong. Definitely one of my all-time favorites.
what's so terrible about Studio 60's time slot? It's not like there's anything else worth watching at 10 on mondays.
I couldn't find the "The Class" thread, but as an fyi for those who haven't dropped it yet, CBS has ordered four more scripts of the show. Of course, being tv, we'll see what that means in the long run.
ps- Is anyone else playing Brilliant But Cancelled?
Eye net still has 'Class'- CBS orders additional 4 scripts

SVU is sucking so badly this season. I know that Mariska had to go away to be pregnant while they filmed over the summer, but they best be bringing her back with Elliot. No more of these "Elliot" or "Olivia" episodes. They need to be on... together.
Tried and dropped: Studio 60, 30 Rock and Brothers and Sisters.
What I love: Ugly Betty, Project Runway (over for the season)
What I really like: Ghost Whisperer
I also dumped Studio 60 after the first episode. I dumped Kidnapped after three episodes.
I want to see what happens with Vanished now that it has been revamped.
