I think the people that call themselves progressive that are for Hillary over Bernie are liars.

Another voting whoopsie-daisy.  My, these seem to be happening with some frequency.  I wonder why?

^ Jesus Christ.  What a****up.  There are two candidates, how difficult was it to get both of them on the ballot?

They will be able to turn that around via the "emergency vote," but that was really a stupid f*ck-up on behalf of the D.C. Democrats.

I also think the media is being dramatic (shock!) to stir things up. There is a process to get him on the ballot in April via emergency vote. So we can assume it will happen before the June primary.

Anyone else watch the Clinton and Sanders interviews with Rachel Maddow last night?  Trump's verbal diarrhea dominated the headlines again, but I thought HRC came across very well, much better than Sanders.  He stumbled badly when Maddow asked about the benefits of big companies wielding their political clout against recent discriminatory legislation.  It's disappointing that he hasn't made more improvement in foreign policy; he still seems to be relying completely on the Iraq vote.

What's with this knee-jerk victim mentality that Sanders's supporters assume? The voting problems in Arizona penalized Clinton more than Sanders, yet the Sanders people made it sound like something Hillary did TO Bernie and now they're doing the same with DC even though Hillary's name is not on the ballot either.

Sanders folk: Get off your crosses. Victimology is unbecoming.

I have to agree with PJ.  And I say that as someone who loves Bernie and would happily support him were he the nominee.

Look, there's no doubt that Hillary is the "establishment" candidate, and as such had and continues to have institutional advantages that Sanders never has, but - let's be honest - that's actually been good for Bernie's message as an insurgent candidate.  But I also think it's a bit far fetched to suggest that there's some machiavellian conspiracy that Hillary's surrogates have devised to purposefully defraud and disenfranchise Bernie voters.  Hillary wants this nomination, she wants it bad, but I think it's a bit insulting to suggest that her team and her supporters are willing to engage in, endorse or willfully ignore outright voter fraud.  Yeah, sometimes things Hillary or her surrogates do or say piss me royally off, but I don't think anything in her legacy suggests she would go so far.

What happened in AZ is an outrage and AZ voters - all of them - have a right to be very angry about it and AZ officials should be held accountable for that appalling mess, but let's not turn on each other.  This is as much a case of a lazy and inept bureaucracy being asleep on the job as it is some grand conspiracy to stop Bernie. This should be an opportunity for every state election official across the country to recognize the intense voter interest on both sides of the aisle this year and to ensure that they have built the systems and processes to appropriately accommodate their citizens' right to vote in a timely manner.

Madbrain: Yes, I thought Clinton was in extraordinary form last night on Maddow.  But though I've never doubted her experience-provided gravitas and clarity, I have noticed: as a candidate, she's only grown stronger.

How do we know that Arizona was a worse outcome for Hillary? (Or Bernie for that matter).

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? PJ, how ya feeling about NY?  Would you concede that if Bernie pulls a tremendous comeback, which he appears to be doing in the polls, we'll have a race?  Wasn't it all supposed to be wrapped up by now according to you?  I wish you would say one nice thing about Sanders and his campaign for the poor.  That dosen't seem to be in your MO.

Are you ok? It's pretty sad that you'd be so aggressive ("HATES"clinton vs. sanders about someone that shares a different opinion to you (and Hillary Clinton). I have only discussed the issues in this thread. Nothing more.

Hillary Clinton’s Connection to the Oil and Gas Industry

Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Super PAC supporting her have received more than $4.5 million from the fossil fuel industry.

Why do you think she's getting so defensive and angry?  I mean, keeping all those lies in the air must be exhausting, but sheesh!

I've spent a lot of time today thinking about everything you guys have said--especially you, South Florida--and I've decided to switch my allegiance from the Wicked Old Witch to cranky old Uncle Bernie.
