This may get this week's award for "Most Intriguing Election Rumor": Having studied the polls for the general election, Trump is becoming more and more convinced he would end up as a loser, something he dreads more than anything else in the world.
And is he has devised the perfect exit strategy: a fake cancer scare.
Completely unsubstantiated, but if it comes to be, you heard it here first.
(And don't believe it.)
Well, let's hope Kasich doesn't win any additional states, then. Cruz I can see Hillary and Sanders easily beating. Kasich, thus far, has come up smelling like roses in comparison to the rest of the Republican field.
This is the Clinton/Sanders thread PJ. Looking ahead, yes she will beat Trump. In the meantime wouldn't it be fun if he won Wisconsin and then gave her a show in NY. The Brooklyn/Chappaqua comparison will be delicious. I know several people who can't vote for Bernie because they're registered Independents. I know nobody who has the same problem going on with her. You wanna win the White House, you put your best candidate up. It's a bummer but it seems that we're going to be stuck with the most unpopular candidate in the nations history.
but wouldn't it be interesting - I won't use the word fun - if we had the most unpopular presidential candidate in history (i.e. the one with the highest unfavorable rating) going up against the second most unpopular (by the same standard)?

Pulling for the Donald simultaneously.
Sorry, this goes back a few posts...but what's a "henny"?
The debate moves forward and the Sanders campaign continues to show their inability to compromise, even when their demands are met. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2016/apr/04/us-election-wisconsin-primary-trump-clinton-sanders-cruz?page=with:block-5702fcbce4b0fde262ff644d#block-5702fcbce4b0fde262ff644d
Boheme, that statement is just so incorrect, Sanders had to reschedule a rally for the debate! That is what compromise is.
Is Sanders still alive?

Oh, Jesus. That Bernie quote. Comeon, Bernie. You got your debate. Just a shade more graciousness wouldn't hurt.
[hm]
I said graciousness, not gratefulness. I wasn't suggesting that he be grateful. He had every right to insist upon a NY debate and he got it, but that quote just sounded disappointingly childish. At the end of the day, Hillary did not want another debate for the NY primary, Bernie did. He won.
But his quote might as well have read, "Fine, we'll do it on the 14th, but I'm not happy about it!"
I know, sorry I saw my error and decided to retract. I was going to explain why I think the quote was useful, but didn't follow through. But since we are continuing this, I will go on.
Already at least one poster in this thread has mistakingly claimed that Bernie Sanders did not compromise (ironic given they linked to the quote). I think it's useful for the public to know that he did.
Sanders seems to have absolutely no interest in being the leader of the Democratic party. He mocks Clinton for fundraising big-ticket donors, but she is working for Democrats at every level across the country. He claims to want a political revolution, but doesn't seem to be willing to work to get any other Dems elected. That's the reason the superdelegates don't support him, and they never will.
Well, that is because he is not a Democrat. He is an independent running in the Democratic Primary.

He flys in the overhead bins on airplanes. He's one of us!
Bernie would be willing to destroy the Democratic Party in order to win, the same way Donald Trump is willing to destroy the GOP.
I'm not passing judgment. I'm just stating a fact.
Boy! You guys are fired up today!
Locally, I'm volunteering for Hillary and also for Chris Van Hollen for Senate. Your passion is the kind we need! Please consider, if you can, helping in your area. Team Hillary!
Team Hillary here as well.
Oy vey, Bernie! Get an adviser or something. It's no good you should sound like such a stupid.

WASHINGTON POST: 9 things Bernie Sanders should’ve known about but didn’t in that Daily News interview

Yeah, for a campaign that has done some things so very well, the weaknesses they have not strengthened are all the more glaring.
