...that thing at the end... you know... ummm... is it real?
No. It is a prosthetic attached to the real thing.

if it was real, why would Mark Whalberg ever be single, huh?
Not that his being married should interfere with that... lol

I remember Wahlberg saying on talk shows that he wanted everyone to know it was fake, so girls who dated him wouldn't be disappointed.

I saw this movie on cable a few years back and to be guite honest, that thing scared the crap out of me. It was too freakish to be cool.

So I gather that this movie is not a top family fare choice?

or the Matt_G family
May-be I should rent this one, I could use a good giggle.

It's not a comedy at all. It's actually a very upsetting film.
upsetting for Walberg maybe. Mr. "Damn I wish this thing was real"...
It's a brilliant film full of incredible performances.

Boogie Nights is one of my all time favorite films. It's just brutal in the sense that there's no gloss over any of the characters. Julianne Moore is brilliant. Period. Oh, and Mark Wahlberg is pretty hot.
I agree. Boogie Nights is wonderful. Julianne Moore is fantastic.
"It's a brilliant film full of incredible performances."
So true!
It's on IFC right now.

The first time I saw this movie I got all hot and bothered by John C Reilly and Thomas Jane. I know. Inexplicable.
I love this movie. I amazes me that someone could make a movie about family and set it in the porn industry. The performances in that film are beyond praise.
