Anyone planning to watch tonight? I think Ivanca, Donald's daughter, is going to be the female advisor for this season. They were on the Pew, I mean View today. She got a degree from Wharton, where she was a straight A student, he said. She just sat there most of the time.
I know this thread is lame, but I need something mindless as a break from other topics I've been posting on today!
what time is it at?
Addicted to it
I do think that the show has crested & maybe has a year or two to go. The Donald knows this & rather than suffer cancellation, he will walk away from it to make it look like his decision
I am pulling for the overweight guy as he reminds me of someone
"She is to appear in five episodes of the popular reality show's fifth cycle, filling in when judge Carolyn Kepcher is out of town, said an NBC representative."
Ivanka Trump to Appear on 'Apprentice'
Mr. roxy-you saw the constants already? I guess I blew it, I thought tonight was the opener.
Dre-8 pm, NBC
I think Ivanka's around for 5 episodes. (I hope not consecutively - I miss Carolyn already - she's my reason for watching!)
I think the next round of auditions happens at the end of June. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the last season.
You know what I liked about season 1 that I haven't liked for the others? Season 1 started from the most basic of tasks (selling lemonade) and then progressed to more difficult challenges. I wish they'd do that again instead of jumping right into sports car ads and commercials, etc. It's more interesting to see who shines in really rudimentary sales and then get into the more complicated stuff.
ETA: Jane, it was on at the same time as the Bachelor finale last week, remember???
To Jane 2
Last week was the opener. Looks like every year the group is worse than the year before
Where are Omorosa & Heidi when you need them ?
"I am pulling for the overweight guy as he reminds me of someone"
Based on the ad for tonight's show the fat guy seems to be having some major problems along with the Russian guy.
Stand-by Joined: 12/20/04
I watched most of it last season, so I may watch it tonight.
Tiff-yes, that's what happened. I insisted on watching the Bachelor. I hope I can catch up tonight.
Mr. Roxy-you mean there are no standouts drama-wise this season?
I lost what little respect I had for Trump at the end of last season. I'm not watching this year because of that.
Was the fat guy the one doing that stupid dance on the sidewalk?
(BTW, and this isn't a jab at you, pab, because I referred to him in the same way, but isn't it inappropriate for Donald to actually call him "the Russian", as he did in the board room? I don't know the guy's name; he does.)
I think I know what you mean Jason, but I forget the details. It was the last episode, right, when he asked the winner if he'd hire the girl who lost? was it that debacle?
jasonf, you mean the live show with Randal and Rebecca? I lost more respect for Randal than I did for Donald (granted I didn't have that much respect for Big D to begin with).
I think there'll be some stand-out drama this year, I just don't see any stand-out contestants.
Yeah, I called him the Russian because of Donald. Trump is the biggest problem with the show actually and the debacle at the end of last season was his fault and his fault alone.
to this day I hear Omarosa jokes.
Randal wouldn't have gotten the backlash he did if not for Donald putting him on the spot like that. I think he SHOULD'VE hired Rebecca, but that's a whole other story - grossly unprofessional and tactless to put that on Randal.
If only Carolyn would launch her own spin-off.
Whoops, dre-it's 9 pm, not 8.
Bump - east coast airing now!
(Except spoilers for the West Coasters!)
So can we post about it?
OHO! Ivanca WENT to Wharton....so that could mean for a week or so. Maybe right before she became a model?
I am pulling for Brent
He looked like the Cat that swallowed the canary in the elevator.
He'll never win. Doesn't fit the corporate image, besides the fact that he's wacky.
Wacky is good but it's not what Donald is looking for.
Good for the woman to be kicked out - she changed her story, didn't contribute anything, and lost a lot of credibility because of it. The other guy who was safe this week (not Brent) didn't deserve to be in the bottom - he tossed out a bad idea (as I'm sure many of them did). It was Pepe who ran with it.
Brent won't last more than a week or so, but he didn't deserve to go this round. He's the only one who DID anything on this task, and probably because of his wackiness on the sidewalk, I'd bet he got more text messages than any other individual on the team! When it comes down to getting consumers to part with their dough, though, I don't think he'll be able to get them to.
