..."Unfortunately, people STILL think they are funny".
...YES, AND THEY ALSO THINK OF THEMSELVES AS "ABOVE" ANYTHING ={ Reality is that people who post this kind of jokes are the very ones who would engage in the behaviour what they are trying to put down on someone else (who actually does NOT deserve it, BTW--get real and over it!).
This is going to be a highlight of the season concert, which I wish I could attend. New Yorkers, you don't know how lucky you are!
What I think is not funny is people still calling him a pedophile, which he is not. So...when I referred to the behaviour, I meant what they are trying to imply about the person doing...whatever that is perceived as, you choose...
Well, he is... I mean, he engaged in sexual activity with a minor, that's what a pedophile is...you can pull out the technical definition of the word or whatever, but that's the commonly accepted definition of the word.

And Piaguraguy2, I had no idea you could refuse an opening to make a joke about someone. Guess that shows how much mature you are then me. I am editing that joke now and it's in the past (the event).
Ok, back on topic.... Its funny how certain topics bring out all of the "usual suspects".. People that dont care about the subject, but ATTEMPT to be funny. Anyway, blog was not updated yet today.
Still waiting for the Natalie Toro date !!!
And I agree with a previous poster.. This is gonna be a great show !!!
Does anyone know yet whether there's anything definitive on an ATOTC tour or cast recording? I know Jill Santoriello mentioned that they were possibilities.
You know, I've always thought and I still think that James Barbour would be an excellent Snape if there were ever a Harry Potter musical (heaven forbid!)

Testing...you are so right about "usual suspects". Shame some people have nothing more positive and inspiring to post (I wonder how their lives are...someone has to be really miserable inside to think like that all the time =I).
Anyway...can those who are fortunate to attend, post about the songs that were sung on their concert night? I'm sure they will be changing some of them each night to accomodate the musical guests. Also, what they did, etc...? Thanks :)

I have tix for 5 dates so far--- waiting for Natalie Toro's date to be announced, so it might end up being 6 !
I will definitely post the "set lists" (I think they are still being tweaked, and not sure they will be the same each night, which will be kind of cool)
Btw, the poster/ad for the show is now in "Sardi's" window. Looks great. If anyone was still planning on getting tickets, if you order them thru Smarttix, and use the code "POSTER", you can get a Free signed poster with your ticket. (if they are still available)
PiraguaGuy2: Actually, no. A pedophile is someone who has a sexual preference for young children. They tend to collect child porn and ignore meaningful relationships with adults. Many sex offenders who have offended against children are still not pedophiles; often, children are simply the easiest target.
We don't know for sure that Barbour has an actual sexual preference for younger girls. I find what he did reprehensible and think that his punishment should have been worse. However, that still doesn't necessarily make him a pedophile or a sexual predator, which other people have been calling him at times.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
"I have tix for 5 dates so far" WOW! Nice! Well, if I lived in NYC, I probably would try to attend as many as I could, also You are going to get the best of this Holiday concert, as I'm sure some songs are going to change in every performance. I wish I could be a "fly in the wall" and hear him sing "Oh, Holy Night!", one of my faves. I think the only other singer I think could even come close is Josh Groban. OK...if I were a fly, I would "fly in' into all his performances, and stay for the duration, so I could hear it all I wonder if posters can be "bought" through "smartix"...for those who won't be buying a ticket.
I don't really think that it's hateful to bring up his crime. No one should forget that such a thing happened, and people have every right to bring it up when discussing news/media coverage/etc about James Barbour. and his performances

How can anyone forget it, when it is brought up ad nauseum, everytime his name is mentioned !?

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
Yay! I'm going on the 23rd, same day as when Natalie will be there.
