And Congrats to freakin' Betty White! (She must be feeling like a million bucks!)
I am happy for Randy Newman's win because that song he wrote almost made me cry. Annoyed by Anne Hathaway's. And they ARE going to screw NPH out of that Best Supporting Emmy.
Betty White FTW!
And as much as I love Neil Patrick Harris, his guest appearance on GLEE was nothing special.
Did NPH beat the guy who plays Kurt's father?
That would be Mike O'Mally and yes.
How on earth did the 2009 Tonys win? Does everyone remember what a giant mess that night was? I am shocked that it was even nominated, let alone won!
Mike O'Malley totally should have won that, his performance is one of the best things about Glee, I always love when he's on.
Lives shows almost always have problems, I did not think the 2009 Tony's were that out of the ordinary.
I am geussing they won mostly for that Opening number.
SO HAPPY FOR NEIL PATRICK HARRIS. Hope he picks up another one for How I Met Your Mother
Neil's great, but his performance was mediocre compared to Mike O'Malley's. His was truly inspiring and he really deserved to win.
Some good news on page two of the winners: Kennedy Center, Colbert, Old Spice commercial.
Super thrilled for John Lithgow who won an Emmy for an absolutely riveting performance in Dexter. Talk about the right actor for the right part...
He didn't find out until after his speech that he mixed up HBO with Showtime. He now joins Ann Curry in the award for "Most Amusing Gaffe in an Important Speech."
Although, I saw Ann Curry's speech in person at my daughter's college graduation ceremony and her mistake got a lot more play than Lithgow's... so far.
South Park really should've won for animated program, but whatever.

Few things --- NPH also got a statuette as part of the team honored for the Tonys win! So now he has 2.
Anne Hathaway's win for voiceover work on the Simpsons is kind of annoying, as one said before. It seems like such a small, unimportant thing to win an important award for. But I do like her ---and I guess she just knocked off one of the EGOT categories she is sure to fulfill! And the hardest one (for her) to boot.
From Kathy Griffin's Twitter:
Ok, I admit, @KChenoweth and I are not taking it very well...remember, it's an honor 2 b nominated

Love them both!
I mean, her award was annoying because she up against voice actors like Dan Castenella, Hank Azaria and H. Jon Benjamin who work in every episode and she was nominated for one episode deal that really belonged in the geust actress catagory.

^ ^ I didn't even realize her one episode stint was against the series regulars - that is really unfair!

I love Kathy and Kristin's reaction pic! Hysterical.
I thought NPH did well enough on Glee but...Emmy award-winning? Not at all.
Yeah, Fred Willard or Mike O'Malley should have won instead of NPH, but I'm glad NPH won for the Tony Awards. If the Individual Performance Emmy (or whatever it was called) were still in existence, NPH definitely would have won that, so a win for the Tony Awards is really an award for NPH's hosting.
