I hope Kelli doesn't win. I don't care how many nominations she has. Kristin Chenoweth for the win.

I hope Kelli doesn't win.

We haven't even seen her performance yet... isn't it a little early to be rooting against her?

2015 Tony Predictions

Jeffrey, no way Blythe Danner is remembered for The Country House. She received good noticed, but overall the play came and will soon depart without much of a whimper and will be but a distant memory to voters in the spring. Mia Farrow is also highly unlikely, too, although I believe she and the production of Love Letters fared much better than Danner.

2015 Tony Predictions

Then I guess we shall see once Helen Mirren, Elisabeth Moss, Carey Mulligan, & Ruth Wilson come in, with possibly Glenn Close in the mix.

2015 Tony Predictions

Definitely, I think the strong spring contenders who are entering the race will overshadow the two women who you've listed.

2015 Tony Predictions

I'm only gonna try for a few categories since I really don't know enough about what's coming in 2015. As of now, here's what I'm thinking:

Best Musical:
Finding Neverland
Fun Home
The Last Ship (I hope)
Honeymoon in Vegas
An American in Paris
(I don't know anything about Doctor Zhivago or It Shoulda Been You. Will they be big contenders for this?)

Best Musical Revival:
Side Show
On the Town
On the 20th Century
The King and I
(I think that's all of them, right?)

Best Play:
Curious Incident
Disgraced
(Don't know much about the other eligible plays, so I can't say)

Play Revival:
You Can't Take it With You
The Elephant Man
This is Our Youth
A Delicate Balance

Lead Actor in a Musical:
Peter Gallagher
Matthew Morrison
Michael Cerveris
Ken Watanabe
Tony Yazbeck?

Lead Actress in a Musical:
Kristin Chenoweth
Kelli O'Hara
Emily Padgett
Erin Davie
Laura Michelle Kelly
(I personally don't think the Side Show girls should be lumped together)

Lead Actor in a Play:
Alex Sharp
Bradley Cooper
Hari Dilhon
Hugh Jackman?
not sure about the last one

2015 Tony Predictions

I think that if Kelli produces a strong performance in The King & I (which I think she will), then she will possibly win, maybe riding on the sympathy vote after not winning quite a number of times.

I'm guessing there will also be nominations for Ken Watanabe, Conrad Ricamora and Ruthie Ann Miles/Ashley Park?

Just guessing...

2015 Tony Predictions

Is there anyone in Fun Home who could possibly be a Leading Actress nominee? I don't know much about the show.

#15

2015 Tony Predictions

I don't think so because the main character of Alison is played by 3 actors (Small Alison, Medium Alison and Alison). Judy Kuhn plays her mom but I'm pretty sure thats a featured role.

2015 Tony Predictions

There's no harm in some early speculation, as long as we acknowledge that there are a lot of unknowns.
#19

2015 Tony Predictions

I know there's miles to go this season but I can't imagine anyone winning over Alex Sharp.

2015 Tony Predictions

Well, I suggest you all wait a bit until AN AMERICAN IN PARIS opens in April before making all the bets on Musicals is concerned. I will be seeing the premiere in Paris tomorrow and from the response based on the previews....LOOKOUT.

2015 Tony Predictions

^ I think most people on this board are counting in American in Paris. Calm down.

"David Josefsberg-Honeymoon in Vegas "
I saw Honeymoon in Vegas and I have no idea who that actor is.
#22

2015 Tony Predictions

David Josefsberg played Buddy Rocky and Roy Beacon (the flying Elvis).

Beth Malone is considered the female lead of the show.
