What's the overlap or correlation rate between the OCC and the Tonys?

I have to imagine that getting an OCC nomination and a Drama League nomination has to bode even better for Tony nomination chances (which is why I think Louderman and Murin are the strongest contenders for the two remaining slots after Ambrose, Kilgore, and Lenk).

Thank you!
Am I the only one who isn't crazy about Louderman in Mean Girls? When I saw it in DC, she was good, but she doesn't have the spark that McAdams had in the movie. I am happy for her OC nomination and if she gets in for Tonys, extra props to her! I love Taylor as an actress like in this, but I just enjoyed Henningsen's Cady more.
As for Featured Actress, I am excited for Park and Butler. All of the featured actresses are terrific, so I won't be mad if they are the Tony noms. But, I do hope Rockwell gets the Tony nom though

I agree. At this rate, I’m predicting the Tony category will consist of Ambrose, Kilgore, Lenk, Louderman, and Murin."
Do we think Mueller could squeeze in there for Tonys though?
I didn't even realize that Jessie didn't get a nomination, and I don't understand why. I thought her Julie was brilliant albeit she had a lack of chemistry with Josh. I think that the Tony noms should be Kilgore (want to win), Ambrose (should win), Lenk (will win), Mueller, and either LaChanze (the best part about Summer), Murin, or Louderman.
11 Noms for SpongeBob!!!!!!! Nyahhhhh!!! This is terrific! Especially glad for Ethan Slater and Gavin Lee!! These two guys are giving Tony worthy performances!! Ethan and Gavin "Are Not A Loser..!!
Poor Spongebob. Getting OCC nominations is not a good sign for the real ones.
I think Best Actress Musical TONY noms go to Ambrose, Kilgore, Mueller, Murin and Lenke.

I don't think Murin gets in before Louderman. And I believe Mueller won't get this time either, leaving the fifth spot between Murin and LaChanze.

I was going to say there will be a Mean Girls/Frozen shut out in Best Actress and they'll go with Mueller and LaChanze to join Ambrose, Lenk, and Kilgore just to eff with us. We'll see how far Murin's networking (to put it lightly) will take her come Tony nomination time.
Updated On: 4/24/18 at 07:57 PMLaChanze will surely be a contender for a Best Actress nomination (she won’t stand a chance of beating Lenk or Ambrose, however), and given the way things are going she’ll likely bump out either Murin or Louderman. My guess is the nominees will be Ambrose, Lenk, Kilgore, LaChanze, and then Louderman/ Murin, with the possibility that Mueller could usurp both of them if they want to snub Mean Girls and Frozen as much as possible.
On another note, assuming the Cursed Child score is deemed eligible for the Tony, which score do we think they bump out? Mean Girls or Frozen?

Easily Mean Girls. Frozen is overall a weaker show, but the Mean Girls score is basically unanimously the weakest part of the show, meaning it sticks out as a problem more.

Beyond thrilled for Lauren Ambrose!!!
Ethan Slater wins the first big showdown. I think Best Actor is the most interesting, up-in-the-air award this year.

I am ecstatic about Lauren Ambrose's win here.
Rooting for Ambrose and Slater, through and through!
Nice that Ambrose was recognized here. She doesn't stand a chance at the Tonys up against Katrina, however.
Sad to see Butz beat Lee. I really didn't care for Butz in My Fair Lady, while I thought Lee really heightened the material that he was given.
Best Actor really is a toss up this year. I think Slater is great in the role but also feel a little like eh giving an award to someone playing a Sponge... I don't know... And Tony was really great in The Band's Visit.
SO thrilled for Ethan Slater!!!!!!

It's definitely the best portrayal of a sponge I've ever seen.
It's not an award for favourite character- it's recognition of performance skills. Can you deny Ethan Slater is a hell of a performer?
