Any thoughts as to who will take this category this year? I recently saw Purpose and thought all of the women were phenomenal. Would love to see LaTanya Richardson Jackson score her first win (Alana Arenas is incredible too. As is Kara Young as always). Other than this, Jessica Hecht feels like a possible winner! Would love to hear predictions.

I assume you mean Purpose? ;)
I'd also throw in Tala Ashe in English, and Mare Winningham in Cult of Love (she's probably much less likely to get nominated but I really enjoyed her performance in that). I could even see Bianca Leigh getting in if the nominators really liked Oh Mary.

Personally pulling for the three sisters of Hills of California and Ashe. Hecht was also terrific. It probably does end up being dominated by Purpose which I still have to see.
Leigh would be cool.

I'm interested to see if Ilana Glazer gets any call-outs in the Good Night and Good Luck reviews. I liked her performance, and there's a ton of competition, but never know how many people will get in with such a large field.

It'd be nice to see Kimber Elayne Sprawl (OTHELLO) get a nomination.
My vote out of the shows I've seen thusfar would be for Molly Bernard in Cult of Love.
Bernard was great. As were the women in HOC. We weren't fans of Sprawl in Othello or GFTNC. Haven't seen Purpose yet. Hearing great things about those performers.
Can see Amalia Yoo or Fine Strazza from John Proctor nabbing nominations. Maybe Morgan Scott? Yoo and Strazza being most likely, assuming Sink goes lead due to her celebrity, not size of role.
I think they may petition LRK to Leading - she is a heavy driver of the plot alongside Jon Michael Hill. This opens up Featured Actress to go to Arenas or Young.
I also see Mare Winningham (COL), Hecht (Eureka Day), Ashe (English) and Sprawl (Othello)
I’m pushing for the latter’s nomination since she could coast on being in a blockbuster revival where the lead actors are supposed to do the heavy lifting, but she really digs in and develops a true character, which livens the proceedings when the title character doesn’t meet expectations.
My money is on Tala Ashe. I'd be happy if Molly Bernard gets it too. I doubt I'll see a nom for Ophelia Lovibond, but I really loved her in The Hills of California. I have not seen Purpose yet either.
I truly wouldn’t be surprised if Kara Young won again.

I think Hecht has the strongest overdue for a Tony narrative, having given another emotionally manipulative masterclass in Eureka Day. I realize the play is closed, but that ensemble was a first class treat lead by Hecht & Bill Irwin. Hecht along with Jonathan Spectors revival are strong possibilities to win imo.
