52 story supertall skyscraper being built on 46th and 8th

An 825 room hotel in the tower base and an upper observatory spanning four floors with a drop ride attraction.  The building will also contain retail space, two upper restaurant floors, and a pool deck.  Anticipated completion date is second quarter of 2027.

I don’t care for the design at all, but I love how Daniela’s and the Playwright Celtic Pub carved a nice dent in the 8th Avenue facade.

I look at all these buildings like what's going on in them? like aren't half the apartments on billionaire's row sitting empty? Yet we just keep building and building.

Just because they are sitting empty doesn’t mean they haven’t been bought. That’s what Russian and Chinese millionaires do; They buy up apartments but don’t actually live in them.

Hideous, but if it means more people are nearby to spend money on tickets etc, then great. God knows they’re needed.

That just may be the ugliest thing I have ever seen but regarding the market for apartments someone mentioned, if I am reading it correctly, this is primarily a hotel, no?
