I don’t care for the design at all, but I love how Daniela’s and the Playwright Celtic Pub carved a nice dent in the 8th Avenue facade.

Yeah I walked past this afternoon and looked at the design. Bizarre.
I miss Sam's restaurant.
I look at all these buildings like what's going on in them? like aren't half the apartments on billionaire's row sitting empty? Yet we just keep building and building.

Just because they are sitting empty doesn’t mean they haven’t been bought. That’s what Russian and Chinese millionaires do; They buy up apartments but don’t actually live in them.

The drop ride part seems truly random to me, does anyone happen to know if there's a story of how that came about?
There are more details here:

"Get yourself a gimmick and you, too, can be a star!"
Hideous, but if it means more people are nearby to spend money on tickets etc, then great. God knows they’re needed.

Agreed. And is the drop ride in that middle shaft-looking-part, or the head..er, I mean, top of the tower? ![]()
That just may be the ugliest thing I have ever seen but regarding the market for apartments someone mentioned, if I am reading it correctly, this is primarily a hotel, no?
