They're still in rehearsal. They head out to Nashville tomorrow (9/12) for I think 1 more week of rehearsal and then begin the tour properly.

It's actually only here (Nashville) from 9/21 - 9/26.
Maybe performance whys, but new tours ship out to their first stop early for tech rehearsals.

In the interview with Diana I posted above, she said they would go to Nashville early to tech the show after their rehearsals in NYC. What Proper Villain posted is correct.

Unless I'm crazy, Proper Villian's post originally said something like they're at "their first stop" for "two weeks of performances." It's been edited, and I think he acknowledged it with "I have completely lost my mind."

Correct, I was confusing 2 different friends on 2 different tours. Now, back to vodka.

It looks like they made a completely new set. I'd much rather them that do that than cut the Broadway set in half and try to bring it on the road.

BTW, apparently there's now a pre-recorded introduction monologue by Dolly herself that opens the show.
From what I understand, a large LCD clock turns into a video of Dolly explaining that the audience is being taken back to 1979... a time when "Apples and Blackberries were something you still picked behind the barn!"
Too cute!

^ I think it will be. This show will probably do way better on the road than it did on Broadway. I can't wait to see what the reviews say!

on bway, by the poster and the ads it seemed like it was a disney show with three happy go get em girls... they missed the grit and real raunchyish side of the girls
ITs silly cause they changed so little between LA and NYC

These videos seem quite good. Very impressed with Mamie. What a voice. Diana sounds great too.
Very fun to watch Dolly as they are singing. I know she hasn't been as involved in the tour as LA/ Broadway but it's still great seeing her there and helping out. She seems wonderful.
