"Fosse, I'm referring to the season announcement."
Yes, but what else do you need? Those are the two biggest shows of the season. Anything else is going to already have played Chicago. How many times can one suffer through Mamma Mia?
"BWayBoundJoe Did you really already get tickets?? I looked on their website and didn't see anything about it. When exactly is it going to be there? "
It's complicated. I called, they put my name on a list of "They called in advance so they get priority when we start doing ticket sales" and since I told them we would be having a group, we'll get priority over single sale tickets. I was third on the list (which suprized me) but I said I wanted tickets for opening night. We'll see. The show is in september.
Formally Stews_Bitch:::
Shows in the 2010 Season for me. 101 Dalmations tour - Jan 24th, Xanadu Tour - Mar 9th and 10th, Wicked - May 14th, Legally Blonde - June 12th:::::::Upcoming - South Pacific, Young Frankinstein (Two Cities) Rock of Ages (Two Cities) Shrek (3 Cities) Les Mis, DreamGirls, Spring Awakening, Color Purple, and 9 to 5!
I understand where Chicago Star is coming from. I'm also from Chicago, and while it's great that Billy and Shrek are coming here, I'm not super excited for either. NO,I don't want any more Mamma Mia, but I'd like to know if Next to Normal is coming through, or 9 to 5 or some shows that I know are more my type of shows rather than shows that I'm not as much into. It's mostly because I'm not particularly impressed with this winter/spring season lineup.
Shows Seen - Swing!**, Rent (Broadway)**, The Lion King***, Wicked*****, Legally Blonde***, Chicago****, Cats***, Fiddler on the Roof***, Burn the Floor**, In the Heights***, Hair*****, A Christmas Story**, Rock of Ages***, Vanities*, Billy Elliot****, Next to Normal*****, 9 to 5**, Mary Poppins***, Guys and Dolls***, Aladdin***, Les Miserables*****
Looks like they'll be in Chicago Jan 18-30th. I'm intruiged by this show -- I adore Dolly...but I sure hope that they have a great tour cast to handle the show.
I just asked the 5th Avenue today and they told me the version they are getting IS in-fact Equity, so I can only assume that the other cities are linked to this tour and they are all equity shows.

I found the information from a lot of different places - from people, on the web, just finding by chance, and on Dollymania.net. I found two other cities that Dollymania.net doesn't have listed just by searching the web.
If you go to Google, type in 9 to 5 the Musical - Ft Worth, there are a couple of articles listing 9 to 5 and some other shows that will be there.
Hope that's enough proof for you! :)
