Posted: 7/11/09 at 7:58amoh I love Daniel Craig. I think he's even worth full price orchestra. sigh.

Posted: 7/11/09 at 8:00amWell, I got through once and got row C seats 9-11 for November 22p I'm now trying for the final performance, and am waiting for an "open ticket session." If I don't get it I won't worry, I'm just glad I got the first one in!

Given Hugh's track record during BFO, I highly doubt he'll be taking off any time. Don't know about Daniel Craig, but considering it's his Broadway debut, I doubt he'd take off during previews, unless he gets sick.
I'm still waiting for an open session for the second ticket.

Got 'em! Finally! I had to use two computers before I finally could get through to Telecharge.com on one of them.

A question.....I got in right away, went directly for front mezzanine tickets, and was offered Row A right, or Row D center.
Is it possible that the first few rows of center mezz are premium tickets?

For starters, that was ridiculously easy. Glad nobody else knows about this presale.
For seconders, I don't know why I just bought a ticket. I guess because I imagine it'll sell out almost immediately. Don't wanna risk missing this...event.

The price would have indicated whether they were premium or not. But if you didn't check the box that indicated you wanted premium seats, then it's likely they aren't.

NO, I did not buy premium tickets.
I am questioning whether the first three rows of the center mezz, which were never offered to me, were classified as premium.
From my observation, and talking to others, the center orchestra up to row L is premium, as well as the first 4 seats in both the left and right sides of the orchestra. Could be possible some in the mezz are premium?
If they are, would this be a first?

Posted: 7/11/09 at 9:31amI got November 7 matinee, Orchestra, Row F, five seats in. I had to reject a lot of offers for Rows N, O and P before I landed on this one.

Whew -- what an exercise in patience and serenity - LOL!
I used landline, cellphone, and laptop - but the online option proved to be the best. I did get the seats I generally wanted for several dates - some front row but who cares about getting a crick in the neck

Damn....I really hate pre sale. I don't hold an AmEx so I have no option but to pray and wait for reg sale in two week. I'm also up against the fact that I am limited to WHEN I can get into the city during the fall. I really need a Sat Matinee or Evening to make this work.
Arrgh.

Sorry, I misread your question.

Posted: 7/11/09 at 2:08pmI wanted to do student tickets, but decided not to risk it... went right for the cheap seats on November 8.

I'm out of town in San Fran for the weekend, and hit my hotel's business center at 5am this morning. Got online, but the Telecharge & Broadwayoffers sites both froze up twice. So, I got on another computer, and got a ticket - Saturday night, same weekend as the Flea Market - Center, Orchestra, right on the aisle!
After that, then I went back upstairs to my room, and went back to bed.

I eventually ended up using BroadwayOffers.com, too - still a little slow in processing but heaven-sent, after the frustrating attempts to go directly to Telecharge looking for several dates.
Someone on the other theatre board said that an operator for TC shared with him that at 8:00 am, there were about a hundred calls waiting on the queue. And that doesn't include those who were trying to get tickets online!

I caved in and got a ticket.
But just a head's up, sometimes Telecharge seats give center orchestra WAY back as an option before they give you closer seats on the sides. So scope out your options first.
Unless you just bought the cheap seats in the rear mezzanine like I did. The rear mezz at the Schoenfeld, for the record, has a great view.

Good to know, because I thought I'd nabbed row H in the orchestra and it turned out to be row H in the mezzanine.
After twenty-five minutes of redialing and trying to log in on two computers at once, I was so anxious that I wasn't paying very close attention!!

I had no problem with Telecharge, actually, so I'll be at the first preview.
I can't believe you people got me panicky enough to buy a full-price ticket. Even if it was back mezzanine. :P Then again, if the rush/cancellation line for this is as bad as I suspect it might be...I really don't want to have the Shakespeare in the Park line experience without the pleasure of waiting in the park.
