It's not unfeasible, but unlucky. They may be sending feelers out to see if they could find some high-profile replacements.

I would not be disappointed to have it around for many more months

They would need a name Sally to cover all of Bernadette's absences.

Is there a link?
It would be wonderful. Is Evita thinking of the Simon (or another theatre) then?

I think the bigger issue is Evita, though, right? I'm sure they could find suitable replacements if that's all they need to do. This would be happy news if true!

If this is in fact true, than yes, Evita has found an alternate home.
As far as I know, the Neil Simon is still available, which is comparable in size to the Marquis. Also, has anything been confirmed for the Lunt? I know Ghost was rumored to be headed there. And of course, Priscilla might not last, making the Palace available.

I thought Priscilla was closing at the end of the year?
hmmm...maybe the Lunt would work. I've never been inside the Lunt - how does it compare with the Marquis and the Simon in regards to the size of the stage and house?

If true, Donna Murphy and Marin Mazzie need to reprise their Birthday Concert roles. NEED to.

If it's true, I'm pretty sure Jan would extend with the show.

They would almost certainly need some sort of name in one of the four leads.

I would love to see Mazzie as Sally but isn't she tied up (I don't mean to give a negative connotation to this, because I think it is going to be an exciting, exciting performance) in CARRIE during till the end of March? (and possibly beyond depending on how long the run is).
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

I wouldn't be surprised if Danny and Jan extended. Danny stayed with South Pacific for the full 2 and a half year run (and I believe he also stayed in Drowsy for the whole run?).

I would bet Burstein and Maxwell would extend.
Is there a possibility that Patti LuPone could replace Bernadette?

LMAO. Patti replacing Bernadette?????
she's completely wrong for Sally. It would be like Bernadette playing Joanne.

LuPone's Phyllis to Bernadette's Sally - that would be an event, lol.

Never in a million years would Patti LuPone replace Bernadette Peters, of all people.
To say nothing of the fact that she's completely wrong for Sally Durant.

I wonder how Christine Ebersole would be as Sally.

As long as they don't implement the plan for a North American Union, she'd be great.

I could see Ebersole as Sally. I actually love that idea.

I have a feeling the cast MIGHT adjust schedules. Especially Raines and others. (Maybe not Bernie - but who knows?) I am sure Maxwell and Burstein will stay, along with much of the supporting cast, as they got the reviews.
and yes Ebersole would be wonderful as Sally.
and yes LuPone would be wonderful as Carlotta.

There is no way LuPone would share the stage with Peters, especially in a cameo role.
