I'm going to get it tomm. if the Barnes and Noble or the Best Buy here carries it. I would doubt Best Buy to have it, but they do have Color Purple/Wedding Singer/ Light in the Piazza, so I figured they might.

Those that live/work in Manhattan, if you order on Barnes and Noble's website, they deliver same-day if you order early enough in the morning (or the night before, like I usually do, before bed). I work in Times Square, and it's always there by the end of the day!

I will call the two three stores tomororw and if they dont have it then, then I will order it on Amazon. If I would have known it was going to be so much trouble to buy in a store, then I would have order it online awhile ago!

I ordered mine on Amazon some time ago. I just received an e-mail from them today saying I should have it by the 12th! What takes so long? I'm in SF and in the good old days, I would go to the store on new release Tuesday but there are fewer and fewer stores.

Jovie, have you tried "Medium Rare" records on Market near Tower?I would guess that they will have it. They have a lot of dance and show CD's there.

Yes I tried Medium Rare last Friday and they did not know for sure if they were going to get it. Usually Medium Rare gets it once they hear about it in other stores...I try them all the time... I also stried the one next to Medium Rare (forget the name of it right now) and they said they dont even have it in their system to order it either.

The opening is slow and I Can Do That and At the Ballet are sped up. The opening is like that in the show, but I've never heard I Can Do That and At the Ballet that fast in the show. It's odd.

Overall though, I love the new recording. I love that they included the whole montage and I love that Nothing is in the right place. I think Charlotte sounds great too - her voice always bugged me in the show, but it doesn't on the recording.

I don't understand why they didn't just stick And on the CD though. It would fit... the songs don't even come to an hour of music.

Probably because a lot of the posters are New Yorkers and New York always have stuff available way before its actual release date.

I really have to get 'And' off of Rhapsody...my favorite song in the WHOLE show PERIOD.

Apparently they did a re-mastered version of the OBC recording and it says on the cover, complete 2 disc. I guess there was some added stuff to it... the guy at Virgin almost thought that that was the new one beacause he was like "oh, maybe this is is, one disic for Orginal Cast and One of the New Cast" and I was like no..sorry..there is a whole different CD cover for the new one than what you are showing me...that is the OBCR...he looked at me and said "Well, it says 2 discs" and I was like, "I know, I guess it is a special re-mastered version, but that is not the new one though"

Not ALL of Mark's stuff, but a good enough portion of it that shows off Paul McGill.

Without a live recording (a la DREAMGIRLS, or something) I am doubtful there will ever be a complete ACL recording.

The 2 disc that I was referring to earlier is not The New Recording. Like I said above, I went to Virgin Record store in SAN FRAN and the only copy they had was a re-mastered OBCR that has an extra CD in it...on the cover it says...re-mastered, 2 disc set. I think the second disc is like demos and or commentary. They had a lot of those though.
