Adam Lambert in Wicked

Wasn't he only in this in LA?

SHOULD? Does he even WANT to??
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Adam Lambert in Wicked

There are "naughty" videos on YouTube if you really want to see for yourself.

Adam Lambert in Wicked

He's been in a few productions now.
He has a nice range, but I find his personality to be obnoxious.

I hate saying this when "celebrities" do theater, but I think his is an example of being desperate for work.

"I hate saying this when "celebrities" do theater, but I think his is an example of being desperate for work."

But he wasn't a celebrity when he did it? He was as desperate for work as any other unemployed actor/singer in L.A., since this was pre-Idol.

I'm sorry. I was under the impression from the OP that he was currently doing a stint on Broadway.

I understand now. My mistake.

Still can't stand him.

Adam Lambert in Wicked

It was pre-Idol. I saw him go on as Fiyero and he was in great voice.

Fiyero?

I'd see Wicked again if he played Elphaba or Galinda

I know what to hear him sing Defying Gravity! :O

Adam Lambert in Wicked

He was in the 1st National and the LA production.

When he'd go on for Fiyero he'd do a great riff at the end of As Long As You're Mine (not sure if others do it too?).

I saw him 10 Commandments the Musical and quite enjoyed him!

He should be the next Hedwig after JCM.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Saw him as an understudy in LA before Idol and he was really really good. Excellent range and actually could act

I like the whole Adam Lambert as Hedwig!
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

YES...Adam would be a GREAT Hedwig after JCM but does he have enough appeal and box office clout?

Adam Lambert in Wicked

^He has significantly more box office clout than either John Cameron Mitchell or Andrew Rannells.
#19

Adam Lambert in Wicked

Yeah, Adam actually has a pretty large and loyal following. It was evident on his recent tour with Queen.

BTD - More than Andrew Rannells - yes. More than John Cameron Mitchell - NO.

However, I would definitely go see him as Hedwig. His vocals are top-notch and the part would fit his personality.

Adam Lambert in Wicked

More than John Cameron Mitchell - NO.

Hahahaha. Ok, keep telling yourself that.

Adam Lambert in Wicked

He'll be fronting Queen again live on the BBC for New Year's Eve concert and also doing a UK/European tour with them in Jan/Feb. Then his new album next year, I don't see how he'd have time for Hedwig, but I have no doubt they've already asked about his availabiity.

^^^ You make it sound like Broadway producers are making decisions prior to reading message boards for inspiration?! That's crazy talk...
