encourage Roundabout to revive The Baker's Wife. Her performance at Papermill was simply stunning.

She should also say "How do you like my pitch now, bitches!"
...go to Disneyland.
... learn to take the heat or stay out of the kitchen.
After She Wins the Tony, Ripley Should...
Wake up, get dressed, go to Radio City Music Hall and congratulate Allison Janney for actually winning.

I have only two words to say to amoni and PlayhouseBeauty...Bull. Crap.
There are only two awards that I feel strongly about this year:
Alice for Best Actress
Hair for Best Revival
I doubt I will ever care about the Tony Awards again if either of these things isn't recognized.
I mean I WANT N2N to win as well....but can see why BE will take it.
i second that drama. Hair and Alice and throw in Will Swenson. I want N2N to win but i saw BE finally this past Wednesday and understand why everyone's saying it will win.
I would love for either/both Will and Gavin to win....but, sadly, I don't think it will happen.
I am pulling for Shrek to win best musical. Its a long shot, but I think its a good show.
It's not an awful show, no, but it's not as good as Next to Normal or Billy Elliot at all.
And Ripley will win. Why would they give Janney the award when her show didn't even get nominated? Has that ever happened before?

^ Heather Headley in Aida.
Allison Janney is not giving the type of performance that Heather Headley gave. LOL.

Alice is who I'm rooting for. I was not saying Janney deserved the tony or that she was giving a performance at the level of Heather. RippedMan was asking if an actress has won when the show wasn't nominated for the grand prize. Heather won, but Aida was not nominated for best musical.
Gotcha, that's interesting. Thanks.
I mean, i can see both sides. Comedy is a lot harder than people give it credit for, and musical comedy no less is tough. Janney sells the **** out of her role, and she holds the show together and gives it some heart. Ripley is giving a pretty good performance, but she left me emotionally uninvested and I just didn't care for her character one bit. So I don't know.
I REALLY hope Alice wins best Actress but....if she doesn't...SO many people will be very disappointed...
She will win.
But I get the feeling that may be the only award N2N gets next week.
I certainly hope she wins. What a tremendous performance.
I think Next to Normal has a shot at Orchestrations. That way, they can award Tom Kitt and Elton John. :) But yeah, it seems like Alice Ripley is their best and maybe only shot at a win.

When she wins I want her to run onstage naked while talking to Emily Skinner on Facebook and singing Rainbow High at the same time...while a clip of Golden Girls plays on the monitor. Too much?
If the Tony Voters saw anything like the performances that happened over this past weekend it might be able to pick up a few more awards.
I think/hope Alice wins and think it can def pick one up for Score. I still truly believe it deserves Best Musical and continue to cross my fingers for it: but I don't think it's going to happen.
From what I'm hearing from people who were at various performances over the weekend (I didn't see people last night, but one of my friends I trust implicitly did), there were a LOT of "names" and I would assume potential voters in attendance over the weekend. I'm definitely crossing everything I can cross and lighting candles whenever I'm home!!!!
And Alice should just celebrate and soak in the moment!! :)
