No, silly... Adam's a DIVA. lol, and we are just a bit pathetic, but all in good fun though. ... and insomniak, Cara and I spent a while spork-hunting today. No luck. We scoured two kitchen supply stores and Crate and Barrell, as well as a mall food court. I'll keep looking...
Emcee- I curious to know whether it was Schele Williams or maybe Maya Days you saw stand-in for Heather. Schele Williams was the first I saw in the role and she was extraordinary...but vocally very different from Heather. Schele actually originated the role of Nehebka (and still plays her).
GirlinFrock- No, I haven't actually seen/heard Saycon - but have heard really good things about her. Hope to catch her before the show closes. Speaking of Saycon, she's been cast in "The Color Purple" - that should be intersting.
Insomniac- i wasn't saying that you posters were pathetic, just the thread...and yes, it's because the thread is now Adam-centric instead of about Deborah Cox - THE SUPERSTAR!!
Hmmm... I wish I had kept the playbill, but I'm ashamed to say that I don't have it. I know it wasn't Schele, because I remember that she was playing Nehebka, and it was within the first few months of the show... before Maya, I believe. I think her first name was Thursday.
Oh wait, hold on. The entire OBC is listed on my window card. *looks* Thursday Farrar... does that sound familiar?
LMAO, Insomniak! - 8 minutes have passed by and now the thread is "dead"?? LOL
I agree with CRP that Deborah is very similar in singing technique as Heather, in the sense that both of them stayed loyal to the original score. However, my only problem with Deb's singing is that sometimes I felt she held back too much instead of belting out what should have been more emotional parts (i.e. Easy As Life, Past is Another Land). Her GLN is great though.

I have a lot of love... for lots of people! My signature is a line from The Normal Heart. When Ned (Raul Esparza's character) was a kid, his nickname was "Lemon." There are a few scenes where his older brother calls him "Lemon" in the play. My icon is Raul in Taboo, dressed in his costume best described by the line "I'm bitter and twisted... I'm a sack of lemons!" I just thought they went well together...
