NDR:
Follow that link I provided earlier in the thread. I think that is some magnificent singing. Very in tune the whole time. She's adding a little musical theatre flair (going quickly to consonants, etc.) which is how it should be. :O)

"You can dislike a certain performer, regardless of their stature, without being a moron."
True, but the thing here is that Angela was being put forth as "overrated", which she is definitely NOT...this woman deserves every bit of good rating she's gotten

I really do enjoy Angela Lansbury, it may be true that she is not my favorite Mrs. Lovett, but i think she is amazing.
I do respect your opinion, unlike many other pathetic people here, but I do have to disagree with you.

I don't respect opinions when they're stated to be inflammatory, and when they don't take objective fact into consideration. It's not pathetic to mock someone whose behavior on the boards (and statement of opinion) borders on trolling.
I don't enjoy listening to Angela Lansbury sing. At all. But that doesn't mean she can't sing, it means I don't like her voice. It's pretty clear that she can sing, quite well at times. That is an opinion, what Zetsdjfskj posted doesn't qualify for my respect.

she is not only an actress who "sings"
she is a beautiful singer as well...
and i agree, just because shes not screeching all over the place like the american idols doesnt mean she can't sing. i love her voice.

If there is a warmer, wiser, prettier vocal of "Beauty & The Beast" I'd really like to hear it but I'm 100% sure it doesn't exist.
It ain't about the voice, its about the soul. Kinda like Gwen Verdon, Ethel Merman, Elaine Stritch, Chita Rivera, on and on and on and on...
