it's nice to see American Psycho popping up on end of year lists for one of the top musicals of 2016. It deserved far more love. Hopefully rumours are true and it will come back to the UK.

AGREED. This was by far the most exciting musical I saw in the 15/16 season! I only wish more people could've seen this production...and I really wish we got a Broadway cast recording. Oh well.
Yeah I wish we had a Broadway Cast recording as well.
I absolutely loved it and would welcome a cast recording. It won't happen though.
I hate when I have to go and make my own cast recording for shows I love, like this one.

American Psycho was one of my favorite shows of 2016. I am bummed it did not get a Broadway cast recording.

there is no cast recording for one simple reason --- not enough demand!!!! maybe if there were 20,000 fans instead of 200 it would happen but it's not

I sure wish I could've seen this show, I love the music.
I haven't seen Dear Evan Hansen yet but American Psycho and The Band's Visit were for me the best musicals to open in 2016.
I'm pretty sure this will be heading to London and I personally can't wait.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the show sell out it's engagement in London?
God you are a bundle of misery ain't you? You forget it was a hit here. Just because it didn't find an audience on Broadway it doesn't mean it just stops. This migh shock you (brace yourself) but other places exist outside of America, like whole other countries (I know, crazy).
My understanding is that, yes it DID sell out its run. In a very small house. And it didn't extend. Or transfer to the West End. Then closed quickly on Broadway.
I LOVED the show and found it creatively brilliant with great staging. I wanted it to be a hit and in my heart feel it shoulda' been. But the public didn't agree. You can't force people to buy tickets to a serial murderer musical, if they're not so inclined. (Even Sweeney lost money on Broadway)
Like "fetch" it ain't gonna' happen.
It didn't transfer because they were hoping the original lead would transfer with it but scheduling didn't allow. The step was always looking towards Broadway (hence Ben's involvement for so long). Also I know one of the producers and it was made clear on a FB post today that the show will be back.
Again, Broadway is not the end, def not anymore.

It's interesting to see how many people really loved AMERICAN PSYCHO. I thought I was one of the few who really enjoyed it...I'm happy to learn I was wrong!
I wish this lasted longer, it was something really special.

This was an amazing show. I wish we had a cast album. Those acapella arrangements were FANTASTIC
This was one of the weirdest shows I've ever seen. I didn't really get it, but I can understand that it appealed to others. I also thought it would run longer than it did (despite my own opinion).
NY1 have picked it as one of the top shows of 2016 as well.
