A woman? Please. That's so dumb and just ridiculous. Aaron Burr was a man. His songs are written for a man. I hope it's Kyle Scatliffe, Joshua Henry, or his incredible understudy Austin Smith.

I know, imagine? The other day I heard of Shakespeare done with all women somewhere; and the characters were actually MALE. It just makes no sense, these theater people don't know anything.
Listen, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is "artistic". - JANICE
Burr should be a black man like he was in real life.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I played Rosencrantz in a production of Hamlet like that (except the female characters were played by males). It was terrible.
I know this thread is about who is the new Burr, but the new Eliza will probably be announced next week too hopefully. Any guesses?
If they keep it in the shuffle family, Adrienne Warren. Or even Courney Reed from Aladdin. She's been in that show for three years. Maybe she's ready for a whole new world.
