"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

It was revealing because he came out as bi.

"It was revealing because he came out as bi."

Because he's very clearly gay?

^ Is that a serious question?

He's been very openly bi for a while. And no, he's not "clearly gay". If he says he's bi, he's bi. Bi people exist, even when they're in a relationship

but he's getting married to a dude so who cares if he likes girls.

He is very effeminate, but that doesn't really mean anything. He's bi, no big deal.

There is no way he is effeminate--the guy from 'Are you being served'-now THAT is effeminate. Mr Mentius is young[cute as a button], slightly theatrical, joyously in love with another man and can actually put 2 words together-it was a pleasure to listen, and look at him for 21mins.

So effeminate men can't put two words together?

Sweetlips, I love how you don't understand the concept of differing opinions. I can think something and you can think something different. Shocking, I know.

I think your entire statement is unbelievably hilarious and insanely stupid.

Not unlike every single statement from him.

I loved what he had to say about bisexuality, and I think more people need to hear it -- and take it seriously.

Agreed. Most still think bi people are just greedy or can't make up their minds. His explanation was perfect.

It is the 21st Century, right? Are we really still trying to label everyone and criticize them for telling us who they are?

Never fails to amaze me how gay guys want equality and acceptance but are often the first to put labels on people and judge anyone who doesn't fit their idea of what sexuality or being gay means

"Never fails to amaze me how gay guys want equality and acceptance but are often the first to put labels on people and judge anyone who doesn't fit their idea of what sexuality or being gay means"

But attributing the above comments as representative of all "gay guys" is fine?

I love him. Have since SMASH. Miss having him and the cast hanging out side our apt while they filmed at NYTW. The whole group was a lot of fun to talk with.

Describing oneself as bi is like admitting you're slightly pregnant. If a male has sex with another male, then he's gay. You can't have your****and eat it too.
