Like most of the news media, I've been waiting very anxiously to see who would get her endorsement.

I didn't even know if she was an American citizen. God bless her!

I wish they could have confirmed the driving miss daisy rumors that were floating around, they would be so great.

I'm pretty sure she confirmed those rumors herself in New York Magazine when the featured her apt.

I love that little scene they showed with her and John Larroquette. She clearly loves delivering that zinger.

Wait, Obama and Lansbury are starring in Driving Miss Daisy?
That guy is almost as busy as she is! Maybe he'll finally get his Tony. In Australia. While he's president.

At the correspondents dinner two weeks ago he did say by the time he got out of the White House in 4 years that he would look like Morgan Freeman- very funny!

Jessica Fletcher could have found Osama in one weekend. She'd do it while riding her bike around the Middle East.

Easy for her to say, if the US goes down the toilet she can skulk back to London or Ireland. What options do the other 99% have?

Endlessly post lies on a theater message board and then skulk away if anyone calls them on it? That seems to be how YOU are handling it.

Gaveston2: I believe that Angela Lansbury has dual-citizenship with the USA and with the UK.

I always assume actors, artists and the like vote Democrat unless they say otherwise.

Well, at least we know one old white person will be voting for Obama. Two, I guess, if you count Biden.

Actually, I'm not even sure is she still has the UK citizenship (which I think is the reason why she hasn't been made a Dame yet despite being made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire back in 1994). All I know that she became a naturalized US citizen in 1951.

I love me some Angie but...I'll have to pretend she never made this decision.

There was a petition on the Downing Street website a few years ago to make her a Dame but it didn't generate anywhere near the requisite level of support to get government attention.
That was when Labour was in charge and I doubt they would take the initiative themselves as there is some kind of historical bad feeling between the Labour Party and Lansbury's family.

Uh, right... because most prolific actors will be voting for Romney.
