Something tells me people are about to be heading that way for the lottery and will be pleased to find out they don't even have to leave it up to chance. Or by some miracle they won't have rush tickets left and everyone will be pissed.

Do they give them out right before the show (like 2 hours) or is it when the box office opens?

Thank you! How bad was the line? (Just trying to get some idea.)
I find this odd considering every show since Legally Blonde has had lotto, plus the lotto had been picking up since Jane Lynch joined.
The decision to do rush or lottery has nothing to do with the theater, it is solely up to the producers. Some producers like certain theaters and book them over and over again, and shows that are expected to be very popular tend to be booked at larger houses (like the Palace), so you might see trends of certain theaters doing lottery for their shows, but it is not because of or decided by the theater.
I went and got rush tickets at around 12:30 and got the two front row seats that are raised on the side of the orchestra, which were excellent seats!
Yero - I'm aware it's up to the producers what the show's policy is, but I am just shocked because it seemed like rush was never going to happen at the Palace after Legally Blonde. Obviously, things have changed, and rush has returned to the Palace.

My friend went at 10:40 this morning and got front row seats
The BroadwaySpotted rush report for this weekend lists it as a lotto? Has this gone back to lotto?

No it's still rush, I have no idea where the lotto info comes from in the Rush Report the last few weeks. Some of the other times are really off too (I know from experience as I was in those queues) so I do wonder if they sometimes use old figures.

It's definitely a rush. My girlfriend and I wanted to see it again to see Jane and rushed it at around noon on Saturday. Got two tickets right on the center aisle.
