Yes, I saw the first preview and it was good. Not as good as "My Deah" but it'll get there.
The set is a period one of an old Hollywood living room. Busch wears some lovely gowns, and the cast is fine. I only had a problem with one of them, thinking they could have used an actor with more character.
The audience just loved it-lots of big laughs and applause at some funny gimmicks.
I'll check it out again after previews and see what's what.
My wife saw it tonight. She's still howling in laughter hours later. Long entrance applause, standing O at the end, luvved the wigs! And she's jabbering something about Angela getting chased by a giant suppository while flying on LSD.
Is truly remarkable in this show. I saw it last night and had a smile on my face from beginning to end. It was a great show. The audience seemed to really be into it. I heard a lot of great comments when we all were exiting.
I rented the film and had a slightly better time watching that.
B12B, we may have been in the audience on the same night. My friend Wendy Worthington played the maid. When I told her I left at intermission she said, "All of the best gags are in the second act".
I told her I had enough gagging in the first act.

Ok....saw it last night...was very good!!! Mr. Busch is in top form! Was great to see this live---very close to the movie! Great cast--the place was full too! I hope this does well. It is an honor and a learning experience every time I see Mr. Busch on stage.
I was there last night as well. If Jane's talking about whom I think she's talking about, I agree. But otherwise, it was what you would expect -- and fun. Updated On: 10/19/07 at 09:05 AM
Folkyboy-The casts and crews of all our shows normally do exit at the stage door. However, nothing can be promised, because once in a while an actor will choose another exit - you never know!
I just got back from tonight's performance. I thought it was really fun and over the top. Having seen the movie, nothing came as a surprise as I hope it did for those who didn't. I LOL'ed on several occasions.
having seen the movie, i do confess i knew a lot of what was going to happen but yes: i LOVED it anyway. so so hilarious :) i love the stairwell scene when she keeps looking back. it's just too great.
i stage doored and met everyone. Stark Sands was in the audience and Charles stayed back and talked to him for quite some time but was gracious and came out and spoke with us all. i wanna see it again!
