The put the whole freaking show on YouTube and the guy playing Rod is literally blue, for God's sake. What the hell is this? lol.

from the tags on the video it looks like it is southport colleges version of avenue q.
That's a college?

Well that is just horrible...

That's easily one of the strangest and most disturbing things I've ever seen. There was less audience reaction than a televised execution.
Although the Brian is kind of hot.
I stopped it halfway through. It was that bad.
How the hell is that a college? You'd think they'd be better than most high schoolers :/ Guess not. That set was ...Bad, to say the least.
W/o the puppets, it's just weird.
O my gosh, Christmas Eve is blonde.

"O my gosh, Christmas Eve is blonde."
...and Caucasian singing that she is Japanese...oh dear!
And what's with their enunciation?
ETA - wait, is this from England?

Why would someone even imagine doing Avenue Q without puppets? That'd be like doing Rocky Horror but censoring all the sex...
That was probably the strangest thing I've seen. Ever.

I think it is England, WW. The girl's YouTube account says she's in United Kingdom. I guess it makes the gayish, eurasianish Gary Coleman less flabbergasting.
That explains "when I was little, I thwot I would be..."

One of the understudies on tour is white, but she can at least pull off looking asian.

Honestly - although the blonde Christmas Eve is just uniformly horrifying and the Brits are ... well, they have their own way with racism, I guess - I don't categorically hate the idea of the show without puppets. I think all the goofy make-up is a bad idea.
Speaking of bad ideas, how much has everyone watched? Do we get to see how they DO the Bad Idea Bears.

Not really...
Phyllis, I was able to look through more of the videos to see how Loud As The Hell... was staged. And from what I saw, it seems like there were no bears at all. Everyone just yells out, "Take her home! She's wasted."
Wait...isn't the point that the show is a spoof of Sesame Street and other children's shows? Which feature Puppets.
So, I don't really get how you could really do it without puppets and have it still be the same show. Weird.

Equity take note: Puppets put people out of work! I'd like to see somebody take on Puppetry of the Penis in this manner. It could be the latest John Doyle gimmick.
Was this production even sanctioned? I mean can you imagine selling this re-imagining, "yeah, we want to do Avenue Q without puppets?" Er.....FAIL!
I don't necessarily hate that the puppet roles are played by people. But if they are people they should look like people--not like someone auditioning for Blue Man Group.
And yes, the blond Christmas Eve doesn't make sense, nor the gay, tanned white Gary Coleman.
oh goodness...that was disturbing

While it does look rucking fidiculous...these kids are good!
The guy playing Rod -- did William Hickey have a great-grandson?
And with their Gary Coleman, why didn't they just change it to Chachi? The jokes would pretty much still work.
