Do we know where the lotto seats are located for BBAJ?
Also will they have a lottery for first preview tomorrow?
No.
They haven't even officially announced their lotto yet.
Calm down.

Thirty minutes later, names will be drawn at random for approximately 20 seats in the first two rows of the theatre. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show a valid photo ID to purchase tickets. This is according to Playbill
i know its only had a few performances but has anyone tried the lotto yet? crowds???
Lottery started with the second performance and they don't have Wednesday shows. There has been a total of ONE ticket lottery so far. How can people possibly answer what the crowds are like yet? Someone might be able to say how many people were at the very first lottery, but that's not a good indicator of what it will be like going forward.

Again, there has been ONE lotto so far! Chill. Give it a week and let the show settle into a pattern. No one can tell you what they "do" until they've done it more than once.
Chill out, I was just curious about the crowds for the first lotto or so. i'm not expecting to hear how crowds usually are, i was curious about the first few days of crowds. i'm not expecting to know the crowd patterns yet

My boyfriend went to the 2nd preview and did the lotto and won. He said that the crowd wasn't large but not everyone won. He did say that the house was only like half full though, so if you don't win tickets you can just guy them anyway.
What do you think my chances are if I try the lotto on the 2nd Friday in November? Do you think the crowds will be bigger if the Republicans win the House? What about the Senate? Will the crowds be much smaller if it rains? What if the Yankees are in the World Series?
I was going to try that Friday as well but does anyone know if there will be any understudies on that night? Also, which usher will be assigned to the left side of the orchestra? My mom hates white people so hopefully none will be working.
Call me crazy...I may actually do the BBAJ lotto on Sunday.
On what planet does that make you crazy?
I was thinking of that same day as well -- if the moon was full and Gemini was rising. I just can't seem to get a clear read on it. Maybe it's time for the tarot cards.
I assume he thinks it's going to be very crowded Sunday, since the flea market will be taking place a block away.
Exxactly, since its the same day, the flea market will be around the corner and I'd expect it (as well as other shows) to have crowded lottos...
Is that show 2:00 or 3:00?

Sorry to bump this one, but I went to the lotto last night (for the 8PM performance) and CRAZY is the only word that could describe it. Think the Wicked lottery performed on a sidewalk in front of the theater instead of the area it is, and you'll pretty much have a good picture :).
Hopefully I'll have luck there, I won the Wicked lotto on just my second attempt :)

Sorry for replying to myself here - did the lotto for the 2PM matinee today and won. Wonderful show, little mini-review over on my blog at http://blog.jds2001.org/random_thoughts/2010/09/bloody-bloddy-andrew-jackson.html

I'd say it's been about 150-200 people. And yes, the Wicked lotto comparison is a very good one.
I won the BBAJ lotto last night, beating the delightful Jenna Leigh Green. I loved the show oh so much.
The lotto was packed on Sunday night (we did not get in), but I swear I saw Jenna Leigh Green there waiting to hear her name called (it was not). I loved her as Nessarose.
I was the one who saw that she picked my piece of paper second and got really giddy as she opened it.
Thank you for confirming that it was in fact Jenna Leigh Green there last night.
Was your piece of paper rolled up into a ball?
I tried the BBAJ lotto for yesterday's matinee and, evn though I pooled with four other people, we all lost. I called the Broadway Theatre to see if Promises had some left over and they said no, so I saw A LIFE IN THE THEATRE instead...

...For some reason I really doubt it's been consistently 150-200 people since beginning performances a week ago.
