I'm not sure if I can make it today, but if anyone sees a Dead Outlaw signed window card, could you please let me know? That's my white whale collectible this year!
Could anybody share what they're selling at the Gypsy table? I know most of the merch was sold out the last week of the run, so I'm curious to know what they have.

I remember when this was fun. And now it is one of the most miserable experiences full of the most selfish and obnoxious people. The shoving, the standing at tables not moving waiting for an actor to arrive.... Left without spending a dime as I could barely access a single table and cannot deal with the shoving.

Thanks for spotting them.
Did they have a bunch?

Lasted an hour and spent $10 on a poster at the Met Opera table. If the young woman who grabbed a book out of my hand at the Playbill table sees this, I hope that you really enjoy the book and that when you get to the end, the last five pages are missing.
Shoved eight times. Cut more times than I can count. And told "I'm waiting for the actors" at four different tables by fans refusing to move and let anyone shop.
I am never going again. Perhaps if they made it a ticketed event and forced some small donation, the crowd would change. But at this point, I can't do it. Chronic illness does not go well with a crowd of chronic a**holes.

A bunch of Tony consideration flyers but nothing else.
Or for Dead Outlaw. Sunset went quick everywhere.

Thanks so much!
Yes, I was at the Gypsy table twice - as long as I could take a look. They had the following that I saw and lists of stock they had:
Mazzepa’s Trumpet
Tessie’s Ballet Shoes - each signed by all 3 Ladies.
Two Pairs of Silver heels (Not sure which Characters - they were labeled though).
Uncle Jocko’s small squeak horns
Chow Mein containers and empty take out containers all used. Also, two tea kettles from the same scene.
Various other food / table props
Danny Burnstein signed Herbie paper props.
Other Paper Props - really Interesting pieces: stage used letters, tickets, Variety newspaper, the Goldfish (Birthday) Drawing and sheet music*
*Sheet music props and stage used music that Audra wrote on during the second act - I purchased one of those - it’s fabulous! beyond reasonable price too. I was surprised.
The plaid blankets that Louise made coats out of.
Window Cards & Playbills - Signed/Unsigned.
The Omaha sign from the train station scene and the road signs were displayed in the back.
That’s all I remember.

Amazing! Thank you for the details. So glad you nabbed one of those sheet music props – sounds awesome!
Can anyone tell me what they have at the Hadestown and Maybe Happy Ending tables and a general price range?
(I’m not there but asking for stuff from afar)
This was one of the most crowded flea markets in recent memory. It was also nice outside. I wished they would go back to having the vendors on the sidewalks and the crowds on the street. Overall, I was disappointed with this year's offerings. Seemed like there were gazillions of boxes of old playbills and posters. I wished they had their own section.
What I'm hearing from today is exactly why I always go later on to the flea market whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Any chance that I heart N Y Phantom windowcard is still there?

I honestly thought this was the best year post-COVID offerings wise. The show booths had some pretty cool offerings:
GYPSY - tons of stage props, signed and unsigned
Death Becomes Her - a slew of jewelry/patches made out of fallen beaded danglers from Michelle Williams prologue dress, vial of those beads and vials of beads and fabric from Madelines “For the Gaze” dress, Cufflinks with card backing signed by Chris Sieber AND Photo op in Madeline Ashton’s Twisted Neck prosthetic from the Chicago tryout
Hadestown - the usual paper flowers and prayer candles, and also had art using strings from instruments used on stage, had poker chips with “the Chips Are Down Graphic”
Oh Mary! - signed Webster’s dictionary’s, Jinkx Mary Costume poster signed, signed playbills from each cast
Operation Mincemeat - signed papers, props
Maybe Happy Ending - Trading Card Blind Boxes, photo op with Hwaboon
Just In Time - decorative vinyl signed by cast, rubber duckies, matchboxes
Shubert - tons of props from Othello, flowers from Romeo + Juliet, “rain” from final performance of the Notebook
thats about all I can think of, overall I had a great time and bought quite a bit!
I waited until about 2-3pm-ish to pop by today and had lots of fun!
I for one am so glad Creative Goods came back with a table this year - it was a bit of a madhouse in their area throughout the day but their table is always such a fun way to grab wholesale merch items. They are constantly adding new items and at certain point they established a "$10 Fill Any Bag" rule, which is exactly what it sounds like.
I walked out with probably $300 worth of Tammy Faye/Bad Cinderella/Swept Away/Gay Jamboree apparel amongst some other fun magnets and trinkets I had opted not to purchase at full price during their original runs. If you're looking for a steal, I find their booth is the place to go.
Would be awesome to see Araca do something similar in the future with their leftover supply.

This is the inherent challenge of flea markets: Every booth is independently operated.
I didn't go this year but have for a while thought the event might function better if they changed the format, got rid of the show tables, and separated it out into sections . . . Playbills/souvenir books in one area, posters & advertising materials in their own area, props/costumes in another area, books in one area, recordings in their own area, merch in its own area, autographed items in one area, etc.
But that's a whole lot more prepwork for the BCEFA team and kills the show-specific novelty that some people enjoy.
And it still wouldn't solve the bigger problem of too many humans and too little street/sidewalk space.
Couldn’t make it today, but what was it like during the later hours when shows were in progress? Crowds more manageable?

Yeah, they definitely slimmed down once the shows were in progress, but so did the booths, most were wrapping up or trying to get rid of as much as they had left. Around 3:30 Curtain Call was selling everything at the table for $1, others were taking offers for what they had.

Glad for those who had fun and found some deals and stuff. Your stories about the weird little treasures that turn up and the awesome encounters you have with actors and crew is really heartwarming, especially for those of us who can't be there.
Having heard nothing back, I have a sinking feeling this is another disappointing year for a certain Listener, though
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for a little while longer, but so far I have to say I do not have a good feeling about a certain person on here…
(my most wanted item isn’t even that rare and I know they had several)
