Sounds to me like they underestimated how many people would show up at the Great Comet table, lol.
As for me, I got there late, so I didn't really get much. I got this cool metal keychain from the Roundabout Theatre for a buck, a deck of cards (I actually just needed cards, these were cheaper than store prices!). I also got the laundry bag from Matilda because those kids that were selling them were impressively gung-ho.
@AntV You know they yelled out that it was $1 so I just took it and stuck it in my bag just assuming it was a program but it seems to be like a press book thing with photos and interviews and stuff. And yes, it was the seed planter (they threw it in for free when I bought the DRS gift).
If anyone has any extra Anastasia items they picked up and would be willing to sell please PM me! The friend who was going to pick things up for me got sick and couldn't go.
I definitely have to agree this was the weakest of all the years I've gone, and the set up was truly atrocious! I've never seen crowds like this and the lines for Great Comet and DEH were ridiculous I didn't even try. That being said, I got:
Bonnie and Clyde, The Last Ship, and Significant Other Window Cards
Hello, Dolly Program
Carrie (Original Broadway Production) Program
Significant Other Script signed by Josh Harmon
a Ghost mug
A framed Lupone Gypsy City Center Window Card
full cast signed Significant Other playbill
The one item that continues to evade me is a Window Card from Joan Rivers' Sally Marr...and her escorts, I've been looking for one for 4 years now ??
Got some nice playbills, some cute swag, and a wonderful 2015 Broadway Cares Snowglobe. Only "one that got away" was the Groundhog Day script. Really wanted one (saw it double-digit times), but couldn't find any. Sigh.
I was one of those people who waited for the Comet table for two hours. It was insane; the first ones have been in line since 8 AM. I'm also buying loads of stuff for my friend overseas, who's a huge Comet fan as well, so all of the stuff I got isn't all for me.
Two prints of theImperial layout - $5 each 13 War and Peace pages they used in the show - $1 per page White egg shaker - $5 "I Helped Pierre Kick King Geroge's Ass!" pin - $5 Two Kazino flyers - $5 each
Left the table and walked to the Telecharge booth., which I got:
2012 Cinderella window card - $5 One of the Comet "soprano" sign during the cast recording - $10
Passed the Comet table again and saw Brittain Ashford was there.
Polaroid with Brittain - $25 (my favorite of the day) Two War and Peace pages signed by Brittain with her signature cat drawing like in her letters - $20 each One Pussy Power hat - $20 One personalized, signed Pussy Power print - $30 Two closing cast playbills signed by Dave Malloy - $5 each
Rest of the damage:
She Loves Me and Noises Off! window cards - $10 in total Then, at 6 PM, the Roundabout table just left their unsold stuff on the side of the street, so I started hauling more items. More She Loves Me windowcards + The Robber Bridegroom window card + The Cherry Orchard windowcard - FREE
Two Light in the Piazza playbills + one Sweet Smell of Success playbill - $5 for three The Humans window card - FREE The Front Page collected reviews - FREE Signed Waitress window card (with Jessie Muller and other OBCs) - $20
Some playbills with the 10 for $1 thing:
The Pajama Game Jerome Robbin's Broadway Dance of the Vampires Oh, Kay! The Pirates of Penzance The Coast of Utopia Putting It Together The Royale Two Playbill's National Theater Magazine
It was my first flea market, and it wasn't as bad as I expected. Guess I estimated a much worse crowd. It was a good first experience :)
I had a fun time this year. Not celeb-heavy. I think unless you go to the autograph tables it's just a matter of luck if you happen to be there when they are. I got a lot of shirts and aside from that I stuck to things like Playbills, souvenir booklets, and CD's. Next year I might finally cave and get one of those Broadway Bares/Broadway Backwards, etc. DVD's.
As expected, I found the show tables a bit disappointing. There were surprisingly a lot of classic musical Playbills this year but I wasn't in the mood to dig. I feel like a lot of the selection was either too new where I'd seen the show myself or I wasn't interested or too old where I wasn't familiar with the show or had no real reason to get the Playbill. I mean, I like Kismet, but what am I going to do with an old Kismet Playbill?
I wish I'd gotten a red egg shaker but I wasn't going to wait in that line. Also, I'm surprised people were so into the chandelier earrings. They don't look that special. There are plenty of cute sputnik-style earrings you can get elsewhere that look more like the light fixtures that were in the theater.
And I accomplished my goal of tracking down a Color Purple CD. It took almost until the end of the day but I found one.
I managed to find the Groundhog day script not at jujamcyn but a table over from anastasia, that’s where most of them were, they had around 15. They started selling early, I got mine at around 9:20, so that’s why they went so fast. I know the closed show table had one or two and maybe jujamcyn got them later? I’m also the person that dropped an arm and a leg on Andy’s signed GHD hat but no regrets I’m crazy happy with it! Didn’t get much else after buying that, though. They also had 3 of the softball Jerseys - other than that only small trinkets and some opening night gifts and the clocks. Though I do know someone that got Rita’s notebook, the only prop I heard of from that show there. The comet stuff was cool but was NOT waiting in line for it, same with the Broadway lights cards. Apparently they had signed sweeney todd posters for $5 but I missed out on that. Somehow a producers cd wound up in my bag, I never even looked at or picked one up, so I guess I got that for free by accident whoops.
I was working the event so I only had a short amount of time to browse but I got the one thing I actually was looking for: a full cast signed poster of the current Barrow St production of Sweeney Todd - for $5!
I had a pretty great year, though waiting on lines was unexpected and took away from a lot of potential browsing time. First time in my 5 years attending Ive had to wait in line to peruse a table. That being said I had some great finds. My boyfriend got some really cool stuff too, I was jealous.

???????Didn't get the one thing I went in wanting, a DEH Connor cast, they were going for 500, and even at end of day it only went as low as 300, I was ready to pay 150, but not 300.
For anyone who didnt manage to find that special signed/unsigned Playbill at the flea market today, I just reposted my updated list of 300+ signed/unsigned playbills for sale, they are ALL $5 or $10 dollars and are from the last 10 years of Broadway/Off-Broadway/Off-Off-Broadway!
Texasaddams, would you mind explaining what the Phantom trap door is? I am picturing the trap doors in the show as being too big and cumbersome to just walk away with. Is it like a piece of a trap door?
Did anyone buy the $5 Imperial layout sheet? They were not offered at all early this morning. I am not asking anyone to sell me theirs. All I'm hoping to find is someone that would be willing to make a photocopy of theirs and sell me the photocopy. I will happily pay you the $5 plus shipping, please!!
