Apparently last night How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying began participating in the fall collection period. I saw them selling signed posters (I'm assuming they had the playbills as well) and they are auctioning off Daniel's bowtie. If I'm not mistaken, last night (Friday the 21st) it went for 20,000 bucks. Anyone else see BCEFA collections starting?
FOLLIES has a ton of stuff for sale. Cast signed posters are $100, posters signed by Sondheim are $500, earrings worn by Bernadette, Jan Maxwell & Elaine Page are $100, also signed prop invites & wine glasses, signed photos, signed Playbills for $40, etc.
Mary Poppins has t-shirts, aprons and autographed posters. The big seller is a backstage tour/meet and greet with Gavin Lee, Steffanie Leigh and the kids playing Jane and Michael for $150.
Sondheim signed only 8 posters, it's just his signature, no one else's. I am not sure if they sold any of those yet, but as they are so few if you want one I'd suggest going to the theatre tomorrow night at the end of the show to purchase one.
The signed invites (and everything else) are sold at the bar on the second floor of the Marquis, through the glass doors you have to pass through to enter the theatre. They are sold only at the end of the show, so get there right before the show lets out (9:30 on Tuesdays, 10:30 on other nights) to get what you want before the crowd.
BILLY ELLIOT collected on Friday night. They had cast-signed posters for $80, Billy-signed Playbills for $20, the Carols for a Cure CD for $20 and "Express Yourself" buttons for $5. Daniel Jenkins (Dad) made the speech and reported that 10% of the total they collect will be donated to The Place2Be (http://www.theplace2be.org.uk/) to help the families and children in Easington, County Durham, where BILLY ELLIOT takes place.
Cape-I assume if we tell them we're just purchasing items they'll be okay with us going in, is that correct? (I've never bought items when I wasn't seeing a show.)
Dreaming, yeah it's fine. Since the bar at FOLLIES is not actually inside the house like at some other theatres, you can just walk up to it and tell them you'd like to purchase something.
I'm not certain on the price of the invites. I think they were $40, but they had literally more than 20 different items for sale, ranging from $10 to $500, so I forget exactly what that was.
Does the cast still stage-door during BC-EFA collection time? (I'm going to FOLLIES on Wednesday night and I know there is no way in *HELL* that I can afford what they're selling).

Hugh Jackman was asked at the stagedoor if he would be participating in Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. His reply : "Absolutely, but only after the show opened."
Is this a BC/EFA rule?
A window card/poster was not part of the show merchandise on offer at the Broadhurst, so maybe it will be part of the BC/EFA offerings?
I have a few questions if anyone has this info. First, I'm assuming no, but do the signed windowcards come framed? Second, does that "set" of invitations for $100 include all the invitations? Lastly, when do they stop selling this stuff? Will it still be available in December?

No, they just come in a clear plastic poster bag.

I believe so, yes.

December 5 and 6 is the Gypsy of the Year show, so shows will collect up to the day before, Sunday Dec 4. Some shows may stop earlier, depending on their schedule.
