Or her body's way of communicating that was to shut down for a minute. In other words, she passed out.
If she did indeed pass out, then that is a different story. That tweet does not indicate that she passed out at all.
She may not want that much sympathy or attention about it. Which, to me, is even more professional.
She gives the impression that stopped an entire production infront of a probably sold out house because she was tired, which would be an unprofessional thing to do. If she actually passed out then I understand there is nothing you can do, but people can get the wrong idea if you are not clear about what happened.
people can get the wrong idea if you are not clear about what happened.
Yes, Ginger, apparently some people can always get the wrong idea. You've just illustrated that perfectly.
For people with basic logic, however... beyond the fact that her tweet in no way even remotely suggested that she stopped performing because she was "tired," as you claim (people don't usually send out an "IM ALIVE" alert because they were tired) — if she DID stop a show dead for this reason, there would be pink slips and equity charges flying, and she certainly wouldn't be back in the show the following night, as she indicated she would be ("Back to uganda tonight!"), and apparently was.
Sure, sure, I get what you're saying. When Jackie Burns Facebooked that she'd be out of her last show, I wanted specifics and descriptions and her snot on Instragram. I mean, she probably just had cramps.
^ But YOU'RE the one making an inference that you cannot support with any evidence to vaidate your perception of her tweet giving "the wrong idea." So, yes, you are being unfairly judgemental.
Nothing about her tweet suggests she was tired and just wanted to stop. Who in their right mind, in a lead role on a high-profile tour, would stop just because he/she was tired???
In October, I hit my head hard enough to cause a concussion. But, rather than slow down and get checked out, I kept running between both my part-time and full-time jobs until two days later when my brain shut down, I started slurring my speech and speaking like Yoda, then collapsed... in the middle of a lecture in front of my students. That was my body's weird way of telling me to slowwww dowwwwn.
Sh!t happens. Until it happens to you, sit down.

Seriously, who in their right mind would infer that she ground the show to a halt because she was tired? No sane person would get that from her tweet. I'm looking at you, Gingie.
And that the show would even let her grind it to a halt minutes before intermission
Listen, most actors get "tired" during a run or a performance, they don't stop a show because of it. I just don't understand how you don't see her tweet was clearly sugarcoating the situation. Do you want her to tweet a video of her fainting backstage? No actor (especially someone who isn't a certified star) stops the show because she doesn't "feel" like it. They know better, it seems like you, however, don't.
