re: BROADWAY BARES '07

Just got back from the 9:30 performance! Oh what a blast! 200 gorgeous dancers in such stunning costumes! I was there since 10am this morning setting up and watching the rehearsals (with a break of a few hours before the show). Even got to meet Jerry Mitchell! David Hyde Pierce was hilarious and the choreography on some of the pieces was just beautiful!

(And it was quite fun to have one of the dancers feed me a grape when I put a dollar in his g-string. re: BROADWAY BARES '07 )

There was definitely full frontal nudity from some of the men, btw.

re: BROADWAY BARES '07

I was there as well...my first ever Broadway Bares...and yes, I will be making this a yearly tradition from now on. It was incredible. The dancers were fantastic...and a lot of time and thought and effort was put into this evening. Very well done, Denis Jones, Jerry Mitchell, and all involved in putting this together.

Leslie Kritzer was kind of the emcee for the evening (she certainly had the most to do) and was just fabulous. At the end, Denis Jones introduced her as "up and coming Broadway star Leslie Kritzer." I, for one, hope that is true. Also great to see David Hyde Pierce, Bebe Neuwirth, Ashley Brown, Laura Bell Bundy, Deidre Goodwin, Harvey Fierstein, Daphne Rubin Vega, and Capathia Jenkins.

Details regarding the full frontal nudity...in the end of Daphne Rubin Vega's huge musical number, it ended with Daphne in between two naked men wearing pegasus wings (just for a second or two though). Very tastefully done...and they were both very good looking.

I just got home & have to tell y'all it was awesome. I met & spoke with Leslie Kritzer & she told me she's leaving "Legally Blonde" to do "A Catered Affair" with Harvey Firestein" ~frowns~ but she's da bomb! Love her!

re: BROADWAY BARES '07

If the Angels were the only full frontal at the 9:30 show... then midnight was definitely racier. I definitely saw way more than two penises. :P

The show was fabulous. I'm considering proposing to Leslie Kritzer.
l love you without knowing how... or when... or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.
I love you because I know no other way than this.

Does anyone have anything to say about the purpose and intnet of the event rather than the claims of seeing the men's appendages?
#139

re: BROADWAY BARES '07

I believe the purpose and intent of a show called "Broadway Bares" is to have a lot of outrageous fun raising money by stripteasing and getting naked while singing and dancing and performing comedy...and, yes, seeing gorgeous men's appendages.

You must have it confused with "Broadway Medical Symposium."

re: BROADWAY BARES '07

Yup- The purpose of the show is an Aid fund raiser event.

The Midnight show is more racier and more nudity...There so much
exposure of men's appendages aside from the Centaur number. This
12 am show is definitely more geared towards the gay men crowd..
I dont know? if the people will tell me that's there's straight

That number with Daphne Rubin Vega was one of my favorites! Those guys doing those acrobatics in the air was amazing...and so hot too. Also loved the number with Cerberus (sp?) the three-headed dog. HOT.

re: BROADWAY BARES '07

I attended my first Broadway Bares last night- the midnight show.
I am at work right now...so exhausted, but it was so worth it!! Leslie Kritzer was a great host/emcee-esque type person.

I loved the David Hyde Pierce as Zeus...." I heard you like boys" remarked by Leslie K....and he replied.."Its a greek thing , you know?? ""soo funny !

I liked Bebe's "I'm a bitch" and then "I'm a funny bitch" myself- the two of them together were hysterical.

Does anyone have anything to say about the purpose and intnet of the event rather than the claims of seeing the men's appendages?

David Hyde Pierce donated $10,000 to BC/EFA during rotation, you mean you wanna hear more news like that?

re: BROADWAY BARES '07

I am so angry with myself for missing this great event. I totally dropped the ball this year. I completely forgot the date. Ugh.
Everyone should support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. It is my favorite organization. They do such amazing work, and they put on the most amazing shows.

Best line of the night for me -

Harvey Fierstein as Pandora to Leslie Kritzer - "Have you ever been to hell?"

Leslie Kritzer - "Well...I did eat Elizabeth Hasselbeck's Pussy in college. So....yeah!"
