His name will certainly draw the crowds, even in a lesser role and I would think, as he ages, he wouldn't want such a heavy burden again on his shoulders.
I keep seeing Trevor Ashey in Australia and what he did with the role; he just blew the roof off with laughter, and so would Nathan.
Every role in that show shines and it's what Broadway/The World will need..LAUGHTER.

Imagine The Music Man, The Producers, all the tourist favourites and the other already successful shows making Broadway Burn Bright once again.

Probably wishful thinking, but I have to admit that I would love to see Lane in one more musical. I have only seen him in three, Producers, A Funny Thing, and Guys and Dolls. He has been terrific in everything I have ever seen him in, but FOR ME musical comedy is what he was born to do.
I don't really see him doing it -- it must be an exhausting role; I just really want to see him in SOMETHING musical.
I think the issue with The Producers is that he is SO associated with Max; I wonder whether for the foreseeable future anyone will be acceptable to Broadway audiences. I think it would've to be a huge star, presumably someone known for comedy (and capable of carrying a tune).
