But a lot of B'way actors have a pretty consistent persona onstage too. For instance Patti Lupone is always Patti Lupone."
True. Very few actors truly disappear into their roles.
Regardless, I thought Ben was miraculous in DEH, and I'd be very happy to see him on stage again, even with an only slightly different take on that persona."
Noah Galvin' interview with Vulture Magazine. These are facts and quotes from him directly. This is not an opinion. Once again, facts.
It’s interesting because you know Colton Haynes … "Noah: Do I …"
Do you? "Noah: The worst."
But you know he talked about coming out. He didn’t actually say he was gay.
"Noah: That’s not coming out. That’s fu*king pus*y bullsh*t. That’s like, enough people assume that I sleep with men, so I’m just going to slightly confirm the fact that I’ve sucked a di*k or two. That’s not doing anything for the little gays but giving them more masturbation material."
Speak for yourself, only. And no thanks, random person on the internet. I will do what I like, as always. And the only reason he apologized because he couldn't find work afterwards. Whoops.

He was employed on a network tv show when he apologized, so that doesn’t make sense. He apologized because Bryan Singer threatened legal action and ABC panicked.
I just re-read his apology and wow, I’d forgotten how apparent it was that it was written by lawyers.
That show was canceled the following season, my mistake. I will clarify: The only reason he apologized was due to his employer and the threat of a lawsuit. But, he's had problems finding steady work since for several reasons. That interview obviously being one of them.

Yup."
Yes, let's put our anger into a 4 year old "controversy" that no one cares about. Great way to use our time and energy in the current political climate.
You can put your energy into anything you want, and I'll do the same. See how that works? Many people here have stated they dislike or don't care for certain performers on Broadway. It's the same thing here. Trying to control and dispute one person's opinion seems like a giant waste of your time.
Noah Galvin is hilariious in Boooksmart. HIGH LAR I OUS. As is Billie Lourde. I'm tired of only thinking of the same five revivals all the time. Ben Platt should originate another new musical and he should be totally Idina in that regard.
Also, if somebody has to make a movie into a musical, make it Booksmart but don't destroy all the young people's voices with dangerous belting.
Wait, is Sutton saying he doesn't Noah Galvin because Galvin thinks gay guys should be open and up front about their sexual identity? Where is the controversy in what he said? Sutton isn't going to accept the "apology" because Galvin only apologized when he was strong-armed by corporate bosses? That's about the only way you'd get me to walk back calling someone out on being closet case, and I'm not likely to fall into line (or the industry closet), even then.

Have a pleasant evening, Hen."
Once again the person who tries to shut down any criticism (or threads critical) of Lea Michelle is telling someone else that everyone should be able to make whatever criticisms of celebrities they like. Oh, hypocrisy!

God, you are so juvenile when you say things like that. I hope his 'daddy' DOES help him as that is what any good parent would do for their child. In the same profession? Better still, be it as a butcher/baker or theatre maker.
