I just got home after spending the entire day at the Flea Market from 9 am on. I had my best year purchase-wise by a mile! Somehow I managed to get some epically insane deals! My most expensive purchases were:
- 9 to 5 windowcard signed by the cast and Dolly ($60- won at the silent auction)
and
-Bernadette/Stritch full cast-signed windowcard ($50 first thing in the morning)
My coolest finds though were:
-Bob Fosse signed Christmas card, and a hand-written note from Ginger Rogers ($5 each!!!) -Bernadette signed Gypsy windowcard ($20) -Caroline, Or Change at the Public, opening night gift from Tony Kushner signed by Tony K. ($30, it's a cute little porcelain alligator bank from Lake Charles, Louisiana) -Exit the King full cast-signed oversized, foam core poster ($25) -Vintage "Zero Mostel in Fiddler on the Roof" T-Shirt ($20)
And then I got a ton of other assorted goodies (apparel, windowcards, etc.)! I always make sure I save up a good amount of money for this event so I can have an awesome spree! :)

original Funny Girl & Barefoot in the Park playbills ($20 for both) original A Little Night Music, The Life, Jerry's Girls, Grand Hotel, Seesaw, and Me and My Girl playbills ($0.50 each)
I envy you guys that got to go. The only reason that I wanted to go was to find an A Behanding In Spokane script, but unfortunately I had rehearsal today so couldn't get one. Hopefully I'll find one next year.
Similarly, if anyone has A Behanding In Spokane script that they'd be willing to part with for a huge McDonagh fan, PM me if we can work something out!
My big purchase...I won the grand auction item to meet Elaine Stritch at A Little Night Music!! Ljay and I will be enjoying "an afternoon with Madame Armfeldt"!!

Posters seemed to be going for less money earlier in the day today than in previous years. Usually I've found posters have mostly started around $10, only to drop to $5 later in the day (before going to $1 at the end). But today at the start, there was a place doing 7 posters for $10, Triton had $2 posters as usual, and many other booths started at $5.

I definitely missed the Playbill table this year. I usually pick up the Yearbook from them every year. Last year, they had some good stuff too...$1 Playbills from closing performances of Rent and Hairspray.
Someone on ATC said they got a Mandy popup from Sunday in the Park with George (You know, from the "Putting it Together" sequence?) AND a "Blue Crystal" from The Rink signed by Chita! Or maybe it was on here. In any event, I'm jealous! And I'm pretty sure I walked past the Mandy cutout/popup without even realizing.
Harvey Fierstein Fiddler tour window card - $5 Assassins flyer - $1 A Little Night Music "Glamorous Life" letter - $2 Yank! pin-up calendar - $5 The Sound of Music colored Playbill signed by Rebecca Luker, Patti Cohenour, and Fred Applegate - $15 Royal Ballet School letter from Billy Elliot - $5 broken music box piece from Next to Normal signed by Kyle Dean Massey and Marin Mazzie - $25 Matt Morrison/Megan Hilty, Kristy Cates, and Kris Cusack Chatterbox DVD - $20 Ragtime hoodie + free Ragtime keychain - $15
Not too many super unique finds this year, but I'm happy with what I got. :)
I'm really happy with my Night Music "Glamorous Life" note. It's quite charming. And adamgreer, that's wonderful you're meeting Stritch. I think, and I could be wrong, she's s fairly nice person, but who knows? Tell us about your adventure!

I spent 20 dollars on the TKTS stand and won Rock of Ages tickets which I traded for Blue Man Group which I then traded for The Importance of Being Earnest at Roundabout.
It was a pretty tame flea market for me this year but I'm happy : )
twinbelters, there's always been a range of prices when I've gone...basically anything from a dollar (or less) on up, and by the end of the day, things are very reduced or free. The really big ticket items are the auctions...depending on what it is those can go for quite a lot. A lot of haggling also goes on.
I want that Ragtime revival CD so badly. And like, everything else you guys got. I will make sure I get to the flea market next year. It always sounds like so much fun.
I was also one of the first 75 people to donate to/enter the scavenger hunt so I won a Broadway Flea Market Tee.
How was the scavenger hunt? Like, I'd heard that you had to pay to enter it, and that a bunch of things to "find" on the list weren't things to find, but purchases to make? So I didn't even bother looking into doing it. But just in case they're doing it again next year, worth doing?
