Big stars who disappeared

With all the talk of Hairspray live it makes me wonder what happened to Nikki Blonsky (hairspray movie Tracy) does anyone know if she's expressed any interest in hairspray live ? Also the original movie Annie (Aileen Quinn) & the Disney version (Alicia Morton) did they do anything after Annie ?? Any other stars you all know that just kind of disappeared

There are several YouTube videos with Aileen, especially in conjunction with the recent Annie revival. She also did tours of Saturday Night Fever and Peter Pan.

There have been numerous threads over the years here about "Where are they now?" Try searching.

I can never find anything about Aileen or Alicia which is why I posted it here to see if anyone on this site would know

By definition of the question the fact that they disappeared would mean information is scarce

According to Alicia Morgan's Wikipedia page (which I found in about 30 seconds)

 

"From October 6–16, 2011, Morton starred alongside Andrea McArdle in the new musical Greenwood the New York Musical Theatre Festival.[5]Morton now resides in her hometown of Gonzales, Louisiana, where she's teaching drama at Ascension Christian High and is engaged.[6]Today, Alicia enjoys working with young performers. I'm honestly surprised nikki blonsky just disappeared like that. She was very good in the film. SAme with the guy who played Seaweed.

Seaweed?  You mean Elijah Kelley who was just played the Scarecrow in The Wiz Live!?  He was also in The Butler and Red Tails.  He's been steadily working ever since Hairspray.

Yeah I know he was in the wiz live. But before that he kinda disappeared lol. (I didn't know he was in the butler though)

I seem to recall an article about Nikki Blondsky selling shoes on Long Island a few years ago. Don't know if anything has happened since then, or if she wants it to.

When you can't find anything on performance gigs, it usually means there weren't any.  Of course we'll seldom know when it's by choice or lack of opportunity.

 

Didn't Nikki Blonsky turn into a bit of a diva?  I seem to remember some lawsuits involving her dad, too. ( I might totally be  confusing her with someone  else on my head.)

 

And I don't think anyone mentioned was a "big star".

AMANDA BYNES! I remember when she announced her retirement and I started to watch the Amanda show, because I was so sad. Then she got Lindsay lohaned.

Robin Wright is starring in House of Cards.  Pretty sure she won at least one Emmy for it, too.

Meg Ryan has done some acting here and there. She recently directd her first film, ITHICA, which is a based of THE HUMAN COMEDY. The film co-stars Tom Hanks and is currently looking for distribution. Meg Ryan is one of those actresses who got really horid plastic surgery and it all but ended her career. 

Geena Davis has been back acting lately with a number of projects coming up this year and next year. She's another actress (of a certain age) who's said how the roles just stopped coming in for her. Whenever you ask "Where is so and so" and it's a woman around that age, chances are they just stopped receiving acting roles, which is extremely sad.

Pretty much the entire original cast of Jersey Boys. 

 

David Ayers? He took over for Fieryo. Pretty big deal. And then nothing.

One of the most famous ones was Barbara   Harris. She did the original Clear Day & Apple Tree and vanished from Broadway

Aren't they touring as the Midtown Men? (Minus John Lloyd Young) I know it's not quite theater, but they seem to have a successful gig going on.

Davis has also been involved in a lot of non-entertainment projects - including some gender equality/bias efforts in entertainment programming, to trying to qualify for the US archery team about 15 years go, I believe she has also started a film festival.  She is also a member of Mensa.  I think she will be in the film adaption Marjorie Prime.
