it's ok... this thread's pace is probably the fastest in this whole board! Anyway, I don't know whether I have done this be4, but if anyone of you interested, plz support n join: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/billyelliotthemusical
Any one managed to uplaod that vid of george on tv onto the PC yet, coz i would really like to see it. Also for those interested, i very almost have expressing your self finished as sheet music (the elton john version) and i can play it really well, its just so damn hard getting it written up as sheet music. Anyway i will inform you when it is finished. Also (from ages back) any one who is interested in my musical i can send you a full (rough version) of the synopsis as it is now copyrighted, and sent off to 'west end people!' Just PM me if you wanna know more. (Simply Musicals, you may be interested to read how it has progressed)
I saw the show yesterday on the matinee. Liam was playing Billy with Ryan as michael. It was AMAZING!! My favourite part was Expressing yourself, Ryan does that so well!! I also really enjoyed the angry dance. I couldnt help laughing right at the start when the small boy got stuck after the curtain that the video had being playing fell to the floor with him underneath but he managed to wriggle his way out in the end! After she show I saw Liam and George at the stage door and then as I was walking away towards the tube station I saw James leaving the front of house with one of the ballet girls. Overall I thought it was brilliant!
It may be dated news, but remember 'way-back-when', when the 3 "Originals" performed on the Royal Variety Performance 2004??? Well, here are some pictures of them meeting HRH Prince Charles!
(Pictures by Doug McKenzie (c) 2004 )
[what's with the patriotic hand gesture from Liam on pic3 !!!??]
Hey, thanks for them pics! Does anybody have or know any really good websites with pictures on that has not already been posted on this board? Thanks, GMFan!! X
I have 2 questions: 1. In billy elliot films, when billy dances in front of his dad, the song, according to DVD is Dance for dad or something like that - can't manage to remember.... How to get that song and what is the real title? 2. Anybody have complete video of royal variety (I got the DVD, which only show the end of electricity)? If you have, would you mind sharing it with us?
Thanks in advance

Sorry, I don't think it's that one. I know town called malice. It was when billy dance in boxing hall, watched by his dad and michael. The equivalent of this in the musical is the swan lake (billy and older billy), when his dad find that he is talented.
Sorry , and thanks!

ooo is that why in the pictures in the prgram and on the old offical website there was pictures of them practicing jumping from a trampet over a sofa...i always wondered why they did that...i just thought it was a part of there warm up or something :S Updated On: 11/13/05 at 02:33 PM
In the film, the "Dance for Dad" scene is a piece from "Billy the Kid" composed by Aaron Copland, and then reorchestrated for Billy Elliot by Stephen Warbeck.
Amazon sell the Billy the Kid suite (I do not know which track it is)
The Swan Lake scene from the show is kind of an adaptation of the one at the very end of Billy Elliot, rather than the Dance for Dad scene. Billy the Kid
I saw Billy Elliot twice in its first preview week (Liam and James first EVER performances - George was held back for a while) and it was breathtaking (including 'Dance For Dad - Incredible) and the Flying Sequence was in a Breathless Act One. The Second Act needed tightening up tho and that has been done with slicker staging, adding flying sequence, adding dance to 'Electricity', tightening up 'he could be a star' number and the incredible huge Finale was added later. The cutting of 'Goodbye Grandma' another master stroke. These 2 performances I saw were over three and a half hours long!!!
for whoever's watched the Cash in the Attic clip...
Although they meet George, when they show the clips the narration says something like "and then they watched George in action", when in fact I'm sure they're clips of Liam. Am I right???
haven't been on in a while, how are you all doing!?
as per the subject line: I LOVE THE SHOW CASH IN THE ATTIC. as a yankee i've only seen it a couple times. i also love Blackaddar and Two Pints of Lager And A Packet of Crisps.
so, whats up in the BE world? how are my fellow BE*lievers?
