hey guys,

Bad news about children in need...the official evening's line up is listed on the site i've linked to, and doesn't feature Billy Elliot. However, we can look forward to the new SIMPLY MUSICALS program starting in Jan 06 on BBC which will feature BE!!! Can't wait!

WAIT!

there could be hope still! After reading the line up again, I saw this...

1am to 2.05am
Welsh classical sensation Katherine Jenkins sings live in the studio, and the stars of London's West End drop in to perform exclusively for BBC Children in Need. And, as the grand total for the night is announced, the fab four - G4 - round off the 2005 fundraising spectacular.

this could be hopeful! although you'd think that if it was BE then it would be on earlier??

I wish I can see Simply Musicals, but I will be in japan. If any of you could record it and put it on internet, I would be grateful!

About Children in Needs, we're not sure if there's billy elliot. It just said that the stars will simply appear on TV, but not sure which one.

yes, but as i said...usually the "Musicals" part of the show happens much earlier, as it is more family viewing. especially if it was billy, you'd think it would be more appropriate earlier. i wonder why it's so late

Yes, they should not stay up late... They will have to do show the next day. I can only hope that there will be several billy elliot and mary poppins. Probably it's not live, they recorded it? I don't know. This will be my first time watching children in needs. I don't fancy TV.

Hey, just been reading the news about the OCR and its so annoying that the release date has been put back to the 5th December! just when the 21st November was getting close they decide to make us wait even longer! Im sure all this waiting is going to be worth it in the end, but ive just become so excited about getting it i cant wait any longer!
Anyway moving on to that programme that was on today. So annoyed i missed it, please let there be a repeat. If anybody knows about it or what it was called please let me know as i would really like to see it!
Thanks and sorry for the moan at the beginning lol!

This thing with the OCR's release is utterly and disgustingly RIDICULOUS !!!! As much as I LOVE the show, the producer's utter contempt about the fans, makes me wish I had the strength to resist buying it !!!!

Not sure either! I think this is just because of james leaving after george leave the show. So, probably that makes people think that george will stay until christmas as well.

It seems that the new Chinese Billy who is called Matthew, will be starting soon after Xmas.
Saw James last week and thought he got away with it, apart from the bit where he jumps into his Dad's arms....they really should have made that into a big bear hug!! James struggled with 'the letter' poor thing! His voice was excellent on all other songs. His angry dance was simply amazing, exactly what I wanted to see, and his street dancing was wonderful. I also thought he matched well with Lucy. He brings so much to the show, I am just so glad that I managed to see him. Will bring you more news as soon as I hear it.

Now that George is stayin til X'Mas and 3rd Dec is not his last performance, will they have Liam perform the night show as Lucy is leaving?

and random question, and the end of Expressing Yourself, there's like glass breaking noises, what's that suppose to mean?

Mad About Billy
#2523George
Posted: 11/11/05 at 11:33am

Ok has i officially been confirmed that george isnt leaving, because the doubt came from the fact that James left, but then stayed on. This doesnt mean george will stay. The only reason James could come back is because his contract hasnt actually expired, and still runs up to xmas, and so if they completely left him out, they would be paying him for nothing. Also with James staying on it means that him and george get to stay for equal lengths of time, rather than george staying on longer, so if george stayed, it would become unfair on james. Finally if they did stay any longer, the Billys in the academy could have their voices broken before they even get on stage, rendering the academy useless, so if you look at all these points, i feel it is doubtful that george will stay.

Boy do I have some catching up to do! Knowing that I was seeing the show on November 02, I declined to read any of this thread before then. Now I want to read every post!

What an amazing show! Leon was tremendous. Although people rave about Liam, I cannot imagine anyone being more perfect than Leon.

I would offer a mini-review, but I am not sure there is anything to be said that has not already in the previous 2,500 posts!

The sound at the end of Expressing Yourself is a percussion instrument (like one of those football rattle noise-makers).
It does sound very strange...it's kind of like the ending of a jazz piece!
