Cheers L_L_L Yes i agree James is due a spot in the limelight,Liam also got the opening night as well as Electricity. I will be happy with whoever we get but at the same time disappointed for the other 2. Yes 8 shows in a week was an interesting experience! I worked out i spent 22 hours queuing for the tickets over the week!! Tell you what though i have missed the show tonight,it's strange but it's feels odd NOT watching the show!

Yes i went to the Wednesday matinee (nice of Billy Elliot to have theirs on a Thu,worked out perfect!!). I agree the new cast is the best for years,Hayden Tee was the best Marius i've seen since Michael Ball. Didn't see Cornwell John as he was off but his understudy was superb and i hardly noticed Michael McCarthy was no longer Javet at all! Also great to see JOJ and Barry James(superb)back. Thanks for your kind words. See you all in a few weeks when i return but NYC and Spamalot etc are calling me. Billy Elliot Fan Site

I can't believe that I wasn't the only one nuts enough to go to all 8 shows last week.
To be honest, there was madness behind by method. During previous trips I had always failed to see James and Ashley perform and I really wanted to see them before they finished. I figured that if I saw all the shows in a week I was almost certain to catch them.
All great things must come to pass. We know the first will soon be last and in the ground we may be lain , but a seed is sown to rise again.
Billy Elliot and Billy Fan 2 - that will take some beating to go to the show 8 times in one week! Did you go to the stage door each night? I bet the kids and cast started to wonder if you were part of the production :o)
So did either of you have any photo's taken which you can share with us?
you guys are all sooooooooo lucky to have seen them all at least once. i have only seen liam and i would love to see james,,,, but unfortunatly i cant! has anyone seen westendpro?
All the "Billy's" are wonderful and each is different and that, to me, is one of the things that makes the show so special. It's a real shame you won't get a chance to see James and Ashley, the show they put on is brilliant. If you do get a chance to go and see it before December I hope you get a chance to see George and Brad. George's "Angry Dance" is superb.

Wow some of you guys must have seriously healthy bank balances or indulgent bank managers! The theatre should have given you a by 2 and get one free discount! Perhaps you can share with us any changes you noted as each Billy must have their own individual signature interpretations. George deserves a rest. His angry dance (which is an absolute stonker and so brilliant) must take one hell of a lot out of him night after night. He seems so fit. Maybe all that golf is paying off. I hope James and Ashley are well. They will experience a serious sense of loss once they return to what we understand as ´normality´. Maybe they should be retained in some sort of consultancy role for the new Billys.
heyy again. quick question. do the billies come outside to the stage door after matinee performances as well or is it just the night ones?
Also, i live in Birmingham UK and I was watching Midlands Today, the regional news programme and there was a report on "elmhurst school of dance" and there was a boy called Ashley Morgan-Davies (don't bother looking anywhere on the net) and he said he had been "called back to be Billy, sometime next year." So we have one of the next Billies. I think he's style is more ballet like Liam's cos he is connected to Birmingham Royal Ballet somehow.
Hi winsax Yes you can usually see the Billys and other cast members at the stage door and at the pub across the road after matinees. What you say about the Royal Birmingham Ballet does not surprise me as I believe the new Billy Leon Cooke has a background with this ballet company as well. This raises the interesting question I have already noted with Liam. Billy has to come across as totally confused by Mrs Wilkinson and her girls initially. Sometimes the transition from confused boy to ballet boy with potential is harder to achieve if you have a ballet background. There is a tendency to seem ´too good´at this point of the story. This is where I think George in particular comes across so well as a confused, angry, stroppy Billy Elliot in these early scenes.
I really like Liam at that stage in the story. Occasionally he does have a habit of doing one or two things too well at this stage but on the whole he does this part really well and some of his facial expressions while he is being pushed around by the ballet girls are really comical. By the time "Solidarity" comes around Billy is showing that he has something special and it is one of my favorite numbers.
To be honest though, I don't mind what background the boys/girls come from. Having seen how well the back stage crew have moulded and trained Liam, George and James, I will trust them to do the same with Leon and all that come after.
All great things must come to pass. We know the first will soon be last and in the ground we may be lain , but a seed is sown to rise again.
Hi, I probably get it wrong a lot as well. I suspect that the plural of Billy is Billys. Billy's is possesive and I don't think you replace the y with ies on names so it's probably Billys. I could of course be completely wrong.
edit - Just took a check on websters and...
********************************************************* With words that end in a consonant and a y, you'll need to change the y to an i and add es.
more than one baby = babies
more than one gallery = galleries (Notice the difference between this and galleys, where the final y is not preceded by a consonant.) more than one reality = realities This rule does not apply to proper nouns: more than one Kennedy = Kennedys *********************************************************
So as Billy is a proper noun it should be Billys. I think....

Thanks for doing the research for me and setting the spelling stright... it just has bugged me for so long i thought who better to ask than Billy Fans themselves Thanks again BillyFan2
Also does anyone know what songs are going to apear on the cast recording i know we do not yet know who is going to be singing what but is 'what' going to be just the songs that are currently in the show or are there to be extras as well? Does any one know? WEP? Updated On: 9/5/05 at 03:50 PM
hi, ive been watching this board for quite a while but have only just got around to signing up and posting for myself..! I saw it way back on the 1st june and saw liam - it was absolutely amazing!! i love musicals in general but Billy Elliot is the only one to totally stay in my mind so clearly for so long. I've only seen it once but remember it completely! Would LOVE to get the chance to see it again! Maybe once the new Billys are here. *fingers crossed!* It hit me more than most musicals I've seen - something about the determination of Billy and the exceptional talents of the boys playing the part just hits me. i love being on stage myself and it just gives me such determination to keep going and doing what i love. The songs are awesome in themselves, let alone the dances to go with them! Is there an official release date for the cd? or just rumours so far?? whenever i hear the songs it takes me right back to sitting watching in the theatre and it kinda hits me - those boys went from practically nothing to being on stage in the Westend - it IS possible! It is the best musical out in a long long time and would give anything to go and see it again and hopefully meet the Billys at the stage door afterwards! If anyone could reply about the cd..?
Oh, and WEP - what is your position in the production? (i dont mean to be nosy) you defo seem to know exactly whats going on - its great - keep the updates coming! :)
"I support the Billy OCR campaign for 3 Billy recordings!" "No Mixes!"
ok if we wanted to write a letter to any of the cast members, if we sent it to the theatre wud they ever get it??? i mean if u put for example Ashley Lloyd Cast (Billy Elliot) c/o Victoria Palace Theatre etc etc etc?!?! would this work?
Hello people ... long time no speak ... not that what i contribute to this message board is helpful but hey!! just like to say those pictures that you added ages ago where great!! you know the ones with that random man!! I got the special DVD thing for my birthday from lucy and i watch it like everynight before i got to bed!! lol bit sad!! anyway ashley looks soo sweet in it and hes chubby!! and when you see george auditioning he looks sooo small!! Theres loads of really funny bits too!! i dont know why im telling you this because you probably all have it already!! Anyway i think leon looks soo different from when you see him in the DVD ... he has long hair!! is it going to be died for billy or somthing because its like jet black!! Sorry about my rambeling love sophie X
Hi, letters addressed to a one of the cast at the theatre should get there fine. Note that it will go through security before it gets to the cast to ensure that nothing improper is received by them.
All great things must come to pass. We know the first will soon be last and in the ground we may be lain , but a seed is sown to rise again.
i have to add that in those pictures where james is wearing the yellow top (thats he seems to have in every single colour) he is looked quite brown!! has he been on a summer holiday?! lots of love sophie X
I understand that recording and compiling the cast album is a slooow process but to keep moving the date further and further back. Originally it was set for the beginning of August!!
Yeah all the Billys (<-now a decided spelling) have looked brown at some stage during the summer, and have obviously managed to fit in a short summer holiday. But doesn't that detract from the character of Billy who lives in Durham and does not go on exotic summer holidays?! I spose you don't see that very much with the stage lights and everything.
And WEP? Where have you gone? We are all missing your posts!
