i want to say well done to james and the others that are finishing after this week!!you should be so proud of yourselves! unfortunalety i won't be there on their last night

I can't believe this week has finally arrived! It wasn't that long ago that it seemed a lifetime away...I guess for everyone in 'Billy' time sure as hell flies when you're having fun. That also applies to us the audience who have enjoyed endless performances of this truly wonderful show! To quote lyrics from a song..." Never say goodbye..you and me and my old friends, hoping it would never end". For James and Ashley I'm sure its the beginning of great things, destined to happen for them in the future.

I feel so very priviliged to have met you both and all the other children too. You are all such a credit to your families. You have touched the lives of so many and have been a wonderful inspiration too. One thing is for sure, just because you will be out of sight, you will most definately NOT, be out of mind. People will remember you for a very long time.

Never forget guys..."in everything you do, always be yourself"

There is so much more I would like to say, but I can't see the keyboard too clearly, through the tears in my eyes! I will miss you both so very very much, you have made me laugh and laugh and laugh...!! Good luck in everything you do. I hope you have long, happy, healthy and fulfilled lives and I wish you everything you wish for yourselves!! love you forever x

I know I'm a bit late with my posting, but could the boy who is singing on the clip you are talking about, be the boy who was filmed singing in a recording studio and sang in the original billy elliot the musical trailer?

My friend is traveling to London today to see the show. I'm gettign a full review, and a playbill from him. I'm so excited, and want the show to come to New York so badly!!!

Lol....I must have missed something. I don't know anybody who says "electwicity". Having seen the show at least forty or so times I can honestly say that I have not heard the boys sing "electwicity" as opposed to electricity!

hi, sorry but going back to the clip of the letter from the website, i am along with everyone else confused about who is singing it. The extract is the part where mrs Wilkinson sings but to me it doesnt sound like a women singing. Would anybody be able to clarify that it is definatly a boy singing even though it is a womens part. Sorry but its just something i am confused about.

I am still in shock about the fact that James and Ashley are going to leave by the end of the week. I love their "Expressing yourself" and Jame's "The letter." Couldn't stop crying after seeing James in "The letter" scene.
I sincerely wish them all the luck in the future.

The clip of "The Letter" you are referring to is sung by the same lad as the clip of "Electricity". I think these clips were done some months before the musical came out and it's possible that it hadn't been sorted out who would sing which lines at that time.

Hi, i would just like to thank BillyFan2 you have been a great help! Its interesting to see new information about Leon and Joey! Im sure they will do a great job but its a shame James and Ashley have to leave so soon. Well done anyway!

It is a great shame we are losing James and Ashley. I'm sure it will be no time at all before we see them again, they are both huge stars in the making. If I don't see them perform on Saturday night know that I was there but had too many tears in my eyes :P Be well and take care guys.

In the meantime we get to welcome a new Billy and Michael, Leon and Joey. I'm sure that they will both follow in the tradition and do a superb job. Good luck guys.

Both boys are featured in the London 'Evening Standard" tonight. Leon (14) is a mid-associate with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and startred dancing at 2. His Dad runs a dance school in Stoke-on Trent. In the paper Stephen Daldry (Director) says 'Leon is unique because he excels in so many disciplines. His ballet,tap,contemporary and gymnastic skills are all exceptionally well developed" Joey (13) started performing in Pantomime when he was 6.

I have dictated the following letter for publishing in the London Evening Standard this week.
Dear Sir,
Whilst it is good that you highlight the arrival of Leon Cooke and Joey Phillips as the new Billy and Michael in 'Billy Elliot the Musical' (Evening Standard 13th September 2005),I feel it is appropriate on behalf of their many fans to pay tribute to the leaving Billy and Michael James Lomas and Ashley Lloyd. They have been brilliant performers for the last six months and carry all our best wishes for their future careers.The success of the London musical is in no small measure due to their endless passion and joy as dancers,singers, and actors.Good luck lads. May you continue to 'live the dream'.

Hello everyone!! Havnt really posted on here in a while hope you are all ok!! Not many days now im hope ill be there (lucy fingars crossed)!! Also good luck to James and Ashley ... did you get our cards?! Where do you all get all this great info from?! most of you sound as if you are in the show you all know soo much!! Going back to the clip thing you where all talking about ... i personally think it sounds a little tiny weeny bit like james ... i havnt heard him sing but if you kindof imagine its him it does kindof sound like him!! and it kindof sounds like his voice ... but then thats wrong because everyone else knows waaay more about it!! Anyway i better go now Has anyone got any new pictures?! Love Sophie X
