I totally agree. Personally I prefer Joe to Chris Lennon. Joe just has that extra edge that no one can replace. His passion within the role gives me shivers!
Some news about the NEW CAST. Heard last week (from a choreographer) that there is a chinese Billy in training. Saw him with Travis today. I think he has just begun training and has just moved into the Billy house. Saw the new Tony today. He is about 5'6" with dark hair. I've heard through my young source that the new Dad does not have hair!! ALso there was a new Mr Braithwaite at todays rehearsals. I think that the current one is soooo very good, he will be a hard act to follow, as will Tim Healy. So all of you that are going on Dec 3rd, hope you are all going the following week to see the new cast!!!
hi! Although all the understudies are amazing there is something special about the original cast. They're the people you remember (well i do anyway!)and the show is based around them. This is way its hard to find people to replace the main cast because each person has put their own extra strengths into the role and the new members have to try and find their own extra details to make that character their own.
WHAT? I felt cheated when I heard this news. Look, mary poppins just took 2 months to release its OCR, and it's in good quality. While Billy Elliot took extraordinary 6-8 months! I'm not very happy about this.... How UNRELIABLE!!! I felt sick!

Does anyone know the theatres address? so if I was to write a letter to someone there they could get it?....if you could help me out that would be great thank you!
I think this is just ridiculous.... they are REALLY taking their time! I know they have alot of problems like chooseing the cast and recording all of them thn pick... blah blah blah... but they shuldn't have to take THAT long... this is prob the longest production time recording EVER in the Westend AND Broadway!

i went 2 c the show last nite 8th nov and it was welcome back liam! the show was excellent and although it was my 5th time, i cried more than i have ever done before! liam was just as good ashe was the other time i saw him, but considering he had had some time off, he did really well. after the show i went to the stage door and we saw george and liam. george was just standing there and i nearly burst into tears!! leon was also there but soon went. we had 2 wait along time 4 liam 2 come out, and when he did he only signed a few of our programmes and tickets because his chaperone sed that he had 2 go. i heard a really interseting story that george was telling issac james about his football game lol anyway just thought i would fill u all in on the wicked performance. xx
My first post here. I thought I'd offer a summary of my research on the best deals when pre-ordering the CD of the original cast recording (OCR), including the lowest prices as of November 9.
Amazon UK £11.99 Standard CD £17.99 Special Edition Box Set £1.24 Shipping to UK (Free over £15) = £13.23 standard/£17.99 box set £3.08 Shipping to US or Canada (10-day Air Mail minus VAT) * = £13.28 standard/£18.39 box set £14.98 Shipping to US or Canada (1-2 day Priority Express minus VAT) = £26.97 standard/£32.97 box set http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BWGEPC/qid=1131367239/sr=8-4/ref=pd_ka_4/202-7964572-2631842 Best deal for international orders * (£13.28 standard/£18.39 box set) * For international orders, Amazon automatically removes the Value-Added Tax (VAT) dropping the price of the regular CD to £10.20 for a total of £13.28, and dropping the price of the box set to £15.31 for a total of £18.39. Expected delivery date to my house in Canada is November 30 since they advertise a November 21 release, but the official BE site says the official release is not until November 28.
Dress Circle £12.99 Standard CD £19.99 Special Edition Box Set £1.40 Shipping to UK = £14.39 standard/£21.39 box set £2.50 Shipping to US or Canada (method not specified) = £15.49 standard/£22.49 box set http://www.dresscircle.co.uk/product.asp?StockID=30137
Due to price, I recommend HMV for UK users and Amazon UK for North Americans. For myself, I have decided to go with the box set from Amazon UK via Air Mail. I’ve dealt with both amazon.com and amazon.ca in the past, and they offer fast delivery and the best deal for North Americans since HMV doesn’t automatically remove the VAT. As for the box set, although I already have the lyrics from the program, I would like to own the 3 songs performed by Elton John, the postcards and any other special features. I consider this will be an important addition to my CD collection, so I’ll spoil myself. I can barely wait to re-live my recent trip to London where I saw Liam and talked with him at the stage door
You should note that most sites are still advertising November 21, but Virgin and the official site at http://www.billyelliotthemusical.com/be_home.html now both say November 28 and Dress Circle says December 5.
All prices subject to change. Please let me know if you find any mistakes or updates.
