I will try to make my way to some of the rehearsals this week and be sure to post how everything is coming along.
Yay! So will the tour be different from the BWY version? I understand that staging and stuff like that can change, but will the book be different?
yeah, I want to know that as well.
Only 6 days till it start!
I talked to a friend I have that works for the company that is bringing the show to Costa Mesa, California and said that the show has sold over a 50% of the 3000 seat theatre where it's gonna play for the 2 week run. So I am happy to know the Tour is already selling pretty well.
I posted a new pic with the lovely Tamyra Gray and Anjali Bhimani, they were rivals in Bombay Dreams, Anjali played the role of Rani, who was a bitch, but that was only fiction. Both were super nice at the stage door.
Anjali is so cute! Man, I can't wait to see the show!!! So close, but yet so far! argh.
Anjali doesn't look too good in that pic, she was so good in the show!!! i can't wait either, i actually have to wait till late April to see the show! damn
haha! But then again, maybe Costa Mesa won't have any merchandise to buy...I hate that.
it looks like you enjoyed "The Pillowman" TLKfan!
Weren't you gonna go see it somewhere else besides Clearwater?
nah...I might go to see it in Clearwater more than once. I just bought tix for Wednesday, April the 19th. But a friend can't go and he said he is going to treat me to see the show on Saturday. But until I don't see the tix I am not talking about it. You know how it goes.
Lol! Nope, muscle. My mom pointed out some cute guy (we had just gotten out of Spamalot I believe) and so from a far distance I took a pic of him and kinda figured out who it was! I'm such a loser.
This is more exciting by the moment! Woohooo!!
I am so excited...i can't wait to hear the reviews about the try out in Tucson, i wish more people were interested about this show. But the American audience is obviously narrowminded. The show was a smash in the UK fortunatly, everyone i talk to from England seem to have seen the show.
OH MY GOD! Bombay Dreams! that musical is so funny and hilarious! its not that good of a show in my opinion! lol. you will laugh the whole entire time you are there and watching the show! have you heard the music of that show? FUNNY!
of course I have heard the music!!!
I was just actually watching this clip online, Andrew Lloyd Webber talks about how the idea of Bombay Dreams ocurred to him. Check it out:

"have you heard the music of that show? FUNNY!"
Why is it funny?
I guess he/she doesn't think in a cultural relativism way...argh. That makes me mad. Oh well, we all can't be the same.
the link did no work for me...
does anyone know is the making of dvd is any good?
I am hessitant to buy it but if yall really like it then i will buy it!
the DVD is amazing. The musical numbers are way better live, but...it shows the rehearsals and those are amazing. Plus the show the queen attended to and some extra stuff.
the link works for me, did it work for anyone?
Wickedfreak, probably you have to join the reallyusefulgroup to watch it, i don't know why it wouldn't work otherwise. The clip are scenes of the dvd.
The DVD is pretty good, though it is from the London production, and many changes have occurred since then. The Journey Home clip is pretty bad, though. He is so under pitch, it's embarrassing. The Broadway cast were much stronger singers. It's a shame the Broadway production was never recorded as the score and the singing were greatly improved.
Yeah I wish they had a CD! The songs are better I think. Plus whenever I listen to the London cast, I cringe when I hear "Don't release Me" etc.
