This is phenomenal news! I hope I get a chance to go back and see it now. This is a great casting. I've seen Sierra as Christine and she is amazing and I'm sure Norm will be phenomenal!

Oh wow. Seriously wishing I lived in NYC (or near it) right now. I've never seen Phantom live and I would love to have this as my first experience!

Lewis will be amazing. Sierra is my favorite Christine ever. I think she will be doing the show until the premiere of 'Ever After' if she's still involved with it. I really do wish she was playing Fantine in Les Miserables' on Broadway right now. Nothin against Caissie Levy at all, but it would have been wonderful if she played the role again alongside Ramin Karimloo.

So excited for Norm!
But I kind of wish Sierra would do something... else. We've seen her Christine Daae so many times. Regardless of how good she is in it or not, I just would like to see her do something different than these long-running 80s mega musicals. I think she is so talented, and I think she is wasting her talent playing the same role over and over again.
I'm hoping beautywickedlover is right, that she is doing this until Ever After premieres next year. Although, she's probably waiting on Love Never Dies or Prince of Broadway.
ETA: That being said, I might see this. The father/daughter dynamic will be interesting.

It's also interesting how they played father/daughter in 'The Little Mermaid' and now they are playing lovers.

WHOA. I have wanted to see Norm as the Phantom for years! This is seriously amazing news!
(And I hope it also means that Hugh will be starring in something else!)

Oh God Sierra... come on, move on... She must be sick to death of playing that godforsaken role.

They both need to move on. Norm Lewis should be creating his own role. I guess a job is a job. Nothing would ever make me go back to see this piece of crap show. I love the whole "BREAKING NEWS" BWW thing....

I am sure both are being paid very handsomely for this, so who cares? This is their job.

As much as I'd love to see Sierra in something new, she makes a wonderful Christine and Norm Lewis is an excellent choice for the Phantom. Wish I were in New York to see this!

I'm glad that POTO has for the most part avoided stunt casting, and that even their stunt casting is really talented actors.

Ah, in my years going to NY, I've never seen this show. I'll be there in April and would actually make the trip to see these two, sucks that they won't be on it until May. Looks like I still won't see it.

I am a long time Phantom fan. I love Norm Lewis. I just cannot sit through the show anymore especially since I saw the trimmed down Las Vegas version and enjoyed the shortened songs.
