I will also be there on Saturday.
Is it me or are 14 pages of sides that we were told are to be memorized a bit excessive for a "pre-screening"? That's a lot, especially when specifically told to memorize it.
But, we'll see what Saturday is like!
re: Brighton Beach Revival Casting#28
Posted: 3/18/09 at 7:02pmwhen I went this past saturday, I prepared the 3 scenes, but was only asked to do the first one, and some of the second one.

exactly... that is expected. But, you were asked and did memorize all three, I presume. Correct?
It's just a lot to memorize (in terms of the size of the scenes - in essence, the first is a 3 page monologue). More than I have ever been asked to prepare for a first aud before!
How many people were "behind the table"? Who was there? Thanks

Great - thanks.
Now, back to memorizing.

Posted: 3/18/09 at 7:50pmHaving never seen this show before and truly knowing nothing about it, how old is the lead role supposed to be? My 14 year old friend tried out for this in February, but I haven't talked to him since...

I auditioned today. It was a lot of fun.
Anyone get called back? Just curious...Did they call you or did they just tell you after your audition?

They gave us three sides ahead of time.
Side one was the baseball monologue through "My mother makes spaghetti with ketchup".
Side two was the girl talk with Stanley.
Side three was Stanley and Eugene's argument.
We only had to do the first two though.

Posted: 3/21/09 at 11:50pmAre they still accepting headshots and resumes to be sent in?

I auditioned today too.
I was told we were going to only be doing the first two sides but then they asked me to do the third also...So who knows.
I wasn't told anything about a callback. We will see!

re: Brighton Beach Revival Casting#42
Posted: 4/19/09 at 6:05pmIt's been cast. His name alludes me, but he's a junior/senior in high school who has spent several summers at Stagedoor Manor.
