Lots of notable happy trails said this week: Alex Newell, Robyn Hurder, Ne-Yo, Yolanda Adams, Tamar Greene, Cheyenne Jackson, Robert Petkoff, and Pepe Muñoz.
Expected downturn in the numbers this week, a combination of the 2-for-1 Broadway Week deals starting again and Winter Storm Fern playing a major factor over the weekend. (Most of the shows that somehow went on in that snow were very sparsely attended.)
Look at CHESS bumping JUST IN TIME out of the top five - and with Groff back in the fold!
An insane week for so many reasons!

Chess box office always blitzes JIT by a few hundred thousand ( in fact this week was Chess's lowest box office so far, a combo of the storm and a scheduled Lea absence) so this comment is confusing, unless you mean the capacity and yes JIT usually is higher in capacity given its a much smaller venue than the Imperial so thats no surprise.
I’m curious about some of these attendance figures… does the broadway league include people that don’t show up/aren’t refunded in the attendance?
I only ask because per the reporting of the cast of Wicked, there were only 400 people in attendance at the Saturday Matinee (I can’t imagine the show went back to being a full house for the Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon performances). The reporting here only shows a difference of 173 vs. capacity. Whereas, if the 400 number is accurate there would have been 1500, at least, seats empty.
The League reports only tickets sold, not actual attendance.

Only 400 people for the Saturday matinee? Before the snow ?

Maybe I’m reading this wrong, but these are the numbers I’m referring to.

That’s from Sunday. Lots of shows had evening performances that day, and it’s not even correct at all. Chicago did not cancel their evening performance, and in fact they were sold out. So whoever came up with that chart should not be trusted at all.

Start of 2 for 1 deals on (almost) all shows I think.

How can a show be down 101% in capacity?"
Thanks, I know I am not the only one puzzled by these numbers.

I heard the price of insulin was down by 800 percent. Where's the mystery here?
